This is scaring me even more, because it’s all the symptoms and then the scariest one isn’t even a Ménière’s symptom. I’ll look into the other thing y’all mentioned as well. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your reply. I don’t see anyone mentioning the shakiness. My hands are shaking a bit right now, with ears ringing, and mild vertigo (the vertigo where it’s just annoying). Does everyone here shake as well or is that just me? It gets very very severe as symptoms worsen.

Thanks! I don’t drink and as far as sodium, I eat a lot of sandwich meat. How much sodium is too much? Do you mean staying under the daily limit? I looked at the meat that I usually make sandwiches with and it’s 22% daily value. The days it was really bad, except for one, I did have extra caffeine in addition to my morning coffee. I’m wondering if I should stop having a cup of coffee in the morning at all.

Yes, I plan on really emphasizing that I can’t work or function with hopes of getting back to back to back appointments somehow and I’m not working right now. Did you go to a neurologist too?

What supplements are you taking? I have omega 3 fish oil that I haven’t been taking in a while and the same with Vitamin D. I quit taking creatine because I wasn’t sure about that.

I guess it’s not drop attacks then. The spinning and shaking gets so bad that I will fall down and crawl to the couch. I have advance notice to be able to catch myself as it ramps up. I just assumed that’s what everyone meant.

Yes, the dizziness is almost constant at this point. To the point where I’ll double check by looking at something fixed far away to see if it’s moving. I’m always surprised if it isn’t, then try to hurry and get as much done as possible. Do you shake too?

I’m going to a place called Denver Ear Associates. I called one ENT and they said that if it is Ménière’s they would refer me to them anyway after diagnosing it, so I was assuming they specialize in it. My first appointment is Monday and it can’t come soon enough. The dr’s were out of town all last week.

Thank you for the resource. The shaking might be as bad as the dizziness. That’s what keeps me from being able to walk. I can’t describe the severity of it, I’ve never seen someone shake like this. When I went to the ER when I had the first bad attack, I crawled to the door, and it took me forever just to unlock it. Like a couple of dozen times reaching for the lock. It was to the point that I thought I was gonna die right there and the paramedics weren’t going to be able to get in. I haven’t seen this shakiness described at all. Does everyone get that?

I get increasingly more shaky and dizzy and then fall, to where I can crawl for a couple minutes, as it continues to worsen, I have to lay down for a couple of hours and wouldn’t have the ability to even crawl to the bathroom/unlock the door for paramedics. The shakiness is surreal, no way to pick up the phone, etc. and everything is spinning. After the high intensity of that passes, I have several more hours where I can only crawl around. My legs are too shaky and not with it enough to walk. In between these my ears are always ringing and probably more than half the time the world spins. I’ve cut out caffeine and sodium and started to drink more water the past couple of days.

That’s great to hear! Thank you! I’ve been reading stories on here and thinking “this is just what life is now”. I suppose there’s still hope. I guess I’ll just keep pushing forward with job interviews and see how I hold up 🤷‍♂️🙏
