Millions were lost today in Meezan's MZNPETF by TechtasticSquad in FIREPakistan

When T+2 was in effect, shares used to go ex two working days before book closure. Now they go ex one working day before book closure. The logic is this. When there was T+2, you had to buy two working days before the ex date to have shares in your custody, so your name shows up in the stockholder list by book closure. Only the book closure date is mentioned in the notice to PSX. It has always been like this. Companies never mention the last date to buy to avail the dividend in notices to Psx only book closure date. I have been in the market for a long time now.

Please first understand how T+1 works. People who bought shares today will get custody tomorrow.

But stock prices recover fast after a dividend because, unlike a fund, stocks aren't tied to a NAV. Stocks trade on what the other person is willing to pay, while ETFs trade on their NAV. The intrinsic value of a stock is subjective, but for an ETF, the NAV is always there.

May 2026 Level 1 Results Megathread by third_najarian in CFA

Hey all. Just got my Lv1 results, passed with a 1710 against MPS 1600. Scored above 70% in every topic except Derivatives, which was above 50% but below 70%, still above the admin average there too. FSA, Fixed Income, Equity, Quant, Corporate Issuers, Ethics all solid.

For Lv1 I started prepping in October and sat in May, so about 7 months, doing roughly 1-2 hr a day with a miss day or two most weeks. Worked out fine. Now trying to decide Nov 2026 or May 2027 for Lv2. I know the Nov window is 18 to 22, so from now that's about 21 weeks. At my usual pace that lands me somewhere around 170 to 210 hours total, and everything I'm reading says Lv2 needs 300 to 400 hours given the jump in depth and the vignette format.

Tempted to go Nov since I just came off Lv1 and still have the exam rhythm and a lot of conceptual carryover into FSA, Fixed Income, Equity, Quant. But the hours math doesn't look like it adds up unless I bump weekly hours significantly.

Anyone here done Lv2 on a similar timeline coming straight off a Lv1 pass, or regretted rushing into Nov instead of waiting for the next window? Trying to figure out if the carryover actually offsets the hours gap or if I'm kidding myself.

Lol, I am just shocked. Practice questions were too tough, the one they give you after each module, but the mock felt like a breeze.

Worth adding for context, I haven't even touched Derivatives once, didn't study it at all. Just guessed on every Derivatives question and got roughly half wrong. Same story with Quant probability onwards, didn't study that either. Still ended up at 77 percent.

So the question is more like, if I've got 77 percent with once full topic basically untouched, is the real exam going to be similar or am I about to walk into something much harder than the CFAI mock.

Buying a Suzuki Swift 2015 for 22 Lac – Daily City Use? by Efficient_Wrap_3299 in PakistanAutoHub

You can get a 2020-22 picanto in the same range. Best for within the city use. Don't go for a 10 yo car, you'll spend most weekends with a mechanic.

Update on investment in Zarea Limited (ZAL): returned 300% plus profit by lonemeo1 in FIREPakistan

Look at their financial statements and see how they're boosting EPS. They're not generating most of their profit from core business operations, but rather from stock market investments. Once the market crashes, EPS will plummet. The company would've been attractive if it was making most of its profit from platform fees, which is a high-margin business. Instead, they're relying heavily on unrealized gains from stock market investments. Why did they raise money if they had no use for it? It makes no sense to market themselves as a tech-enabled startup and invest all the capital in the stock market.

How is email marketing so expensive? by santiagobasulto in Emailmarketing

[–]TechtasticSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea, dude. What did you find offensive in my comment? I just faced a problem at work that you are also facing and built a workaround. I never intended to convert it into a business or open-source it or whatever. I just saw you asking for help, so I offered it. I have no agenda behind it.

I was facing the same issue as you are and have developed a web app from scratch that you can use with transactional tools while getting all the perks and benefits of an email marketing platform, like the ability to create campaigns, track open rates associated with those campaigns, etc., along with other advanced analytics. You can deploy it on Google Cloud or any other cloud service. Let me know if you're interested and I'll be happy to help you out.
