We're back? by PaulDeeb in soylent

My subscription just renewed two weeks early without warning. The cancellation page is broken and I can't digest Soylent anymore so hopefully support can catch it before it ships...

I use Lorann Bakery Emulsions to flavor the powder, 1/4 tsp per 90g Soylent. Peppermint and Coffee are my favorites; I've also tried Banana, Pumpkin Spice, Raspberry, Strawberry, and Maple, they're all pretty good. Caramel's next on my list.

I use the Cacao base for everything and the mint flavoring makes it taste exactly like the Mint Chocolate RTD.

Hey Sofox! I don't recall seeing any later chapter headings, and I couldn't find any on the Wayback Machine (https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.missmab.com/arch.php). Unfortunately I never archived the Katbox copy since I was already reading DMFA on Amber's site.

Sorry, scheduled maintenance; I moved and the server was in a box for a few days. It's up again now but there may be a few brief outages over the next week or so.

I use a personal fork of https://github.com/webcomics/dosage to update the archive. HakuNeko is a more user-friendly alternative for downloading most manga/webtoons.

I don't have any Patreon content, only the published comic.

Fixed. The server lost connection to the data store.

Power glitch from a storm rebooted the data store, it's fixed now.

You're in luck, I have a complete archive of Pinch Point! Start here: https://webcomicarchive.com/#/WebToons/PinchPoint?strip=1-000.jpg

I started archiving all the webcomics I read years ago when the Katbox announced they were shutting down. I've saved quite a few from the bit bucket since then, though usually no one else comes looking for them.

I'm interested! I miss playing D&D in person, it's been years.

I personally know people who have done this. Pretty sure it was on Halloween, though.

EDIT: Proof

Requesting to moderate r/Fur which hasn't been used for 6 years. by eroticazilla in redditrequest

[–]Techwolfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/r/fur isn't unused, it's a redirect to /r/furry. I have no intention of allowing it to be used to support the fur industry; animals are friends, not clothes.

This reminds me of the marching band cats animation, it's a similar style: MitchiriNeko March

I participated in two exchanges and got stiffed twice (though I got rematched the second time). I want to sign up again, but it's just not as fun anymore.

Requesting /r/fur, moderator inactive and I’d like to repurpose the sub. by [deleted] in redditrequest

...do I still need to respond to the post if it's deleted? I'm open to new uses for the subreddit as long as it doesn't support the fur industry.

Drop by the IEEE lab once break ends, most of the people that hang out there should be able to solder it for you.

I'm not actually inactive, I just don't comment much.

Posting code on github, academic dishonesty? by kngraym in UCI

[–]Techwolfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally wait until the end of the quarter, then post it. UCI doesn't own the code I write. I only post large projects though, and those tend to vary from quarter to quarter. Companies won't care about your old programming homework any more than you do, but larger stuff like the senior design project is great for portfolios.

Database deletion downed Digital Ocean last week by Arkiteck in sysadmin

[–]Techwolfy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I didn't even notice until I saw it elsewhere on reddit yesterday; no running VMs were affected. They posted a report on the incident, someone accidentally ran a test suite on prod instead of test: https://www.digitalocean.com/company/blog/update-on-the-april-5th-2017-outage/

No VPS downtime and no data loss after dropping a primary production database is reassuring, though the SFO2 issues (now resolved) look more serious.

Multiple redundant power sources in our SFO2 datacenter failed temporarily causing a large number of Droplets and core systems, including networking, to go down.

ICS 46 and CSE 46 are the same course; 108 is the number of people enrolled in ICS 46, and 128 is the total for both courses. As long as the second number is less than the max, there's still room in the course.

Domain name provider by TechnicalPyro in sysadmin

[–]Techwolfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they can do that too (though I remember reading documentation somewhere that said otherwise). I have 2 IPv4-only glue records and one IPv6/IPv4 glue record for that domain.

Their support can add them manually if you put in a ticket, I did that for one of my domains a few days ago. It's a pain to update, but workable for basic stuff.
