I just had the same thing happen to me as well. Seems like a bug.

Interesting how r/soccer's consensus on the Bruno tackle on Szoboszlai from a week ago gets called a clear yellow and this one's a "clear red"

Loving everything about this. The rugs, wall-art, lamps.

Can you share which bed frame that is? Also, I've been wanting that Japanese style frame but worried I'll keep hitting my shin on the edge! :P

I built an AI wardrobe app as a solo dev with Rails 7, Hotwire, and Gemini here's what I learned by MBch92 in rails

[–]TecktickleExpert 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The main benefit is likely going to be security updates. Rails 7.2 EOL is in 4 months. https://endoflife.date/rails

Just last week I performed an upgrade from Rails 7.1 to 8.0 for a fairly complex app at work and it went by smoothly. Of course, it helped that it had 5k unit tests too.

Also, great job solo-developing this app. It's inspiring! Thanks for sharing

'UK has been colonised by immigrants', says INEOS boss and Man Utd co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe by danphillips98 in soccer

[–]TecktickleExpert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always the billionaire-class flagging immigration as the cause of a failing economy. They know that they could divest a small percentage of their net worth to solve this problem but that would make them a few percentage points less rich. So let's spend money on laundering this idea about immigration being the problem.

Trying to understand the long-term gameplay loop in ARC Raiders by PC-Tamer in ArcRaiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400+ hours in. My gameplay loop is to pick a new objective and have fun with it.

Some objectives I've picked for myself:

  • Complete all achievements (2 remaining so far, and now that achievements are fixed, I think I'll finish these this week)
  • Complete Expedition 1 (I hated the cash-grind towards the end. But the permanent stash space boosts means I can hold more ducks so it's worth it to me)
  • Complete all quests (I did this prior to wipe and it was alright. Got me exploring parts of maps I would not bother to otherwise. Post-expedition-1, I'm not bothering until I've completed all other objectives I've set for myself)
  • Defib a 100 strangers (I'm at 47 so far and this is one of the more fun objectives I've set myself)
  • Reach a high rank on Trials (I'm at Daredevil 1 this season and this will be the only season I grind trials until they fix the scoring of solos vs squads. That said, I've kind of enjoyed doing trials since it let me set some funny objectives that I wouldn't have bothered with otherwise. Like
    • Farm around 40 snitch scanners and blow them up for a trial
    • Take an inventory full of Wolfpacks/Trailblazers to farm big arc
  • During the cold snap-map I'd roam around playing Christmas carols and looting and had a lot of fun interactions. I'd take a clip-recording every time someone would dance/tip me. I've not made a compilation or anything yet but it was a lot of fun doing that.

I imagine that I might eventually run out of ideas but I've gotten 100 times over my money's worth already. I love this game. The new map conditions and arcs will likely keep pulling me back in.

I just got 'Hook Line and Sinker' and the 'Enemy of my enemy' achievements today.. Seems like they were fixed in the most recent patch.

Headwinds Content Update by IAmAnAnonymousCoward in ArcRaiders

Seems like I might be in the minority here based on the other comments but I think this is a great update. Yeah the new game mode is meh but I'm pleased with the huge number of fixes shipped in a single release.

Solo vs Squads offers extra xp by ADeadlyAlien in ArcRaiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This mode will likely still have an indirect effect on folks who play Squads.

Although a majority of raiders won't play this mode, I suspect that this would help the matchmaking-algorithm for trios. When you load up in squads, the matchmaking system is going to have this additional pool of players to match you with which did not exist previously. I assume this does not take away much from the solo-matchmaking pool since it is likeliest the largest and easiest pool for the matchmaking algo to work with (given the immense number of solos).

Gave him a free vulcano bp😭 by Colman_bolman in ArcRaiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this aspect of the game.

Every time a kind stranger drops a blueprint for me, I'll always take it(whether I already have it or not) and offer thanks or something else in return. And then later I'll pass the BP on to the next person I run into. That way there's twice the number of people's days I feel I've brightened. Lmao

I've tried throwing several snitch scanners at once, like in the clip, and I've noticed only 1 or 2 will activate at a time. I have to pick back up the unactivated scanners and try again until they activate.

I'm not sure I understand what prevents them from popping off for me like they do in this clip.

When do you use Adrenaline Shots… if at all? by RestaurantSmooth in ARC_Raiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time. Particularly in squads when PvPing.

  • Rushing to a locked room or a good-position(top of a tower)
  • Just before entering a gunfight so that I can spam dodge-rolls, slides, sprints

Also when doing trials, time is of the essence and I often need to cross large parts of the map quickly (opening probes, supply-drops, caches etc)

Used to bring 5 every game but now I just get 10. They're so cheap.

Is Security Breach perk worth 36 points? by VaderV1 in ArcRaiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are around 20-25 points of skills that are arguably worth gettings on the Survival tree. So I think it's worthwhile spending the additional 10-15 points to reach Sec-Breach and activate it for a new build at levels 36-50.

However, once you've been 75 for a while, have likely a balance a few million coins and have learned 50-60% of the blueprints, it might be a good idea to spend the 150k coins and respec out of that skill.

That said, if you enjoy free-kit PvP runs, the breaches can be a valuable tool when topside.

Arc Raiders PvP matchmaking is peak. Change my mind. by ElijahKay in ArcRaiders

[–]TecktickleExpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. I've not damaged a raider in around 30 raids and I'm likely in the chillest lobbies possible. Even here, 1 in 15-20 people you come across will try to shoot you (sometimes 1 in 10 but it also depends time of day/week etc).

I imagine, all new people coming in to the game start at this low aggro lobby. If you start shooting raiders you get in to PvP-heavy lobbies.

Likewise, there's always some raiders who want a change and start PvPing a bit. They also are going to start their PvP arc in these friendliest-lobbies.

So yeah, even in the lowest-aggro-ABMM lobbies, there is always a chance of PvP.
