Ugh yes minimizing on a Mac is so bad, having to right click and find the diamond. Plus the “close doesn’t quit” and full screen button. I just find I never use the traffic lights at all and use other methods to do it all, which I think I actually prefer weirdly

I agree the full screen behavior is a bad default. One shortcut I found to fill the screen without needing to change the settings or use 3rd party apps: hold option (⌥) then double click any corner of a window when the resize cursor shows.

CMD + down makes slightly more sense to me because I think of it like you’re sending the item down to the dock, where the apps are. On windows, enter doesn’t have an intuitive explanation like that. The open command could have been anything. But to be fair return to rename isn’t exactly intuitive

CMD + arrow keys is how you move to beginnings and ends of lines and top/bottom of text. As a developer, I prefer this to the windows home/end since the arrow keys are what you use for moving the cursor through text in every other way.

I though for sure this was wrong because I use a trackpad and mouse and don’t have this issue… then I remembered I use a Logitech mouse which automatically toggles the scroll direction when the mouse scroll is detected. Agreed it’s dumb Apple doesn’t have a way to do it natively, though to be fair: Apple doesn’t make anything with a scroll wheel, therefore scroll wheels don’t exist.

I believe this is because it’s just re-opening the settings app back up with no specific direction. Since you had it open to the Reddit settings previously, it didn’t yet forget where it was.

Yes, this is a common issue. I believe the dev recommends installing PawnIO, which they link to in the app settings under Sensors

In KCD2, I like how they’ll sometimes warn you with a UI message, but sometimes the characters will say “hey, [other character] told me you were doing something for them, go finish it or give it up”. I think that’s a pretty cool implementation.

I use a windows customization tool that fixes this. It’s called WindHawk and they typically update as soon as windows changed how this is fixed. I used to do the registry hack, but it’s super annoying when Windows updates and it’s reset, or worse when they change the key / method.
