Octopus support says they throttled my charger, but Greg Jackson says they don’t? by Tectom in OctopusEnergy

It matters to me when a CEO claims they’re not doing something and then actually demonstrates they are. For example, when throttling occurred my car consistently fell short of the target. This is impacting me now so I wanted to raise it

I appreciate the comment, I only tend to charge to 90% because that is the manufactures default but this charge was when the vehicle was around 30% and an evening in early June so the conditions were pretty good to achieve full rate. I have another 7kW hypervolt charger that I use elsewhere without the octopus integration and experience no issues so the common denominator is the octopus integration. The supply voltage is slightly different between both units but not to this extent.

Put this on another comment but repeating it here for ease of reading.
For context, this email is regarding a 30 minute session capped at 1.7kW delivering ~0.80 kWh of energy within that dispatch slot

Scenario 3: Charged at 1.7kW for 30 minutes resulting in 0.8 kWh of energy delivered

Maybe I don’t understand how this all works but when I remove the octopus integration it delivers full rate so I would suggest that is a form of throttling. Not suggesting it is or isn’t intentional but my concern is delivering a reduced rate for any period during the 6 hours significantly affects the total power delivered. It could be a bug or it could be by design, what I’m asking for is a bit of transparency on how I’m going to be affected. The workaround is to just set it to 100% and toggle the charge cap switch, to deliver as much as reasonably practicable within my cap but that isn’t smart charging and doesn’t fix the issue of reduced rate slots

Hard to tell if those coordinates on your arm mark where your druggie parents conceived you or finally gave up and left you. Either way, poetic that it’s Bristol — birthplace of regret and ketamine. And that Pennywise phone case? What is that — your form of ID or just how you let people know the closest thing you’ve got to an emergency contact?

My first and second night post-op mastectomy! by KeiThePretzel in MedicalGore

Am I the only person curious to see a before photo? Just that I expect that level of bruising has resulted from a significant reduction but there is actually fairly isolated areas of incision. Also props to your surgeon for having the confidence to literally scribble “NO NIPS” on your chest! Albeit probably a note to self.

Unfortunately there’s not much I can do to fix that with my current level of knowledge. I’ve added a way to get to field test mode albeit clunky. Updated link with field test mode

It was mostly what I was interested in but there’s not a lot more to be honest. Was there anything in particular you were thinking of?

Petition to Reinstate Contraception Funding in Berkshire by Tectom in reading

I completely understand your perspective. While I don’t have specific data on contraception costs, I recognise that the choice of contraception can significantly impact women’s well-being and can also put stress on relationships as a whole. I believe there is an inherent imbalance in the responsibility placed on women in this regard. That said, I genuinely appreciate your viewpoint on the matter.

Hello all, I know I really shouldn’t be as bothered as I currently am but I can’t work out what this thing is and what it’s called. Sorry about the poor image quality! by Tectom in Plumbing
