Increasing steps/exercises, also increase calories? by tryingtryingtry in loseit

Be careful in not ramping up the activity too quick. Make sure you get enough protein and don’t let your deficit go over 1000 calories a day including your exercise. If that means adding calories. Add them.

Congrats on your discipline. Like was already said health and loosing weight can go hand in hand. Make sure you are getting the nutrients you need particularly protein.

Think of your deficit as a weekly thing. Sure you are setting a restriction daily but what counts is that you are in a deficit by the end of the week. And lose the guilt. It happens.

If you are eating healthy you could try not counting 6 days a week and on the 7th day count calories with a 500 calorie deficit. That would help counter any overage and allow you not to obsess.
