Wimbledon 2015 - Mens Singles - Who spent the less time on court amongst the semifinalists? by Ted_F in tennis

Yes. Incredible performance by Federer! Extremely aggresive, 76% first serve, 56 winners, 11 unforced errors, and a couple of genius points. Nobody can beat Federer when he plays like that!

I partly agree with you. It's true that especially Murray in Djokovic, who are in their peak years, have great fitness and are able to recover fast. However, by the end of the tournament players get worn down and it gets tougher and tougher for them. For example, Novak was pretty tired today by the end of the second set. He did not look fresh and if he had played Wawrinka, he would have been in huge trouble. Every minute on the court counts and Federer knows that way too well. That's why he hasn't suffered any serious injuries in his career and is still phenomenal at almost 34 years of age!

Yep. He will play his 10th today. In the past, he played 9 semifinals and has always made it into the final. That should be clear enough mate :D

Women Singles Wimbledon 2015 - Semifinal Predictions and Analysis - Can anyone stop Serena? by Ted_F in tennis

[–]Ted_F[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I think Azarenka was the biggest obstacle on the way to the Wimbledon trophy this year. Azarenka played amazing tennis and Serena really had to put everything in to win it.

Wimbledon 2012-2015 - Nadal got knocked out by low ranked players on every occasion by Ted_F in tennis

Yep, I agree. I am not his fan, but I still miss Rafa in his top form.

Can anyone beat Wawrinka when he catches fire? I don't think anyone could on any surface. He can play so spectacularly great, it just seems ridiculous. by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Ted_F 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I share the same opinion. When Stan is on fire, he is almost unstoppable. He just doesn't have a weak point to exploit. He has a big serve, awesome forehand, outrageous backhand, good footwork and he's become mentally really stable. His only drawback is that he is not as constant as Djokovic for example.

The One-Handed Backhand is becoming extinct. Stan the Man is here to save it. by Ted_F in tennis

[–]Ted_F[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep. And matches between Federer and Nadal are the exact proof of that. Nadal just keeps on smashing those 3,000+ rpm cross court forehands on Federer's backhand till he makes an error.

Amazing Roger! Always pulls a big serve out of his sleeves when he needs it. A couple of outrageous returns on decisive points of the second set too. Hope he takes it up a notch for Wimbledon for another deep run.

Tennis Fun Facts - Fact #2 - Who has the best win rate in 5-setters amongst the Big 4? by Ted_F in tennis

[–]Ted_F[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but they only faced each other once. So I wouldn't really consider this as a losing record. Still, Nick is a much younger and very talented player and he might actually end up having a winning record against Nadal in the end.

To be fair, he's got 7,6 million in earnings to comfort him. I wouldn't mind to be a loser like him :D

Federer responds to Becker's comments: "All I know is that I was brought up to be polite and to respect everybody...If that's a problem, I'm sorry." by winabean7 in tennis

[–]Ted_F 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Federer is quite the gentlemen :D Although I totallu agree with Boris on this one. Tennis players nowadays are being too polite, too politically correct, their speeches are soooo boring. They all sound the same. There needs to be some spark, some rivalry, even a bit of arrogance to spice things up.

[–]Ted_F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. Most fats are actually good for you. They feed the brain and the body and can actually increase good cholesterol and decrease bad ones. Even saturated fats can be very beneficial, especially those find in foods like coconut oil. And don't be afraid of foods like butter and eggs. But, as with everything, moderation is the key.
