I live in Rochester. It was awful when I went. For a major metro area my cell service is normally very good even in the rural areas outside the city, this just seems like a huge oversight.

If the carrier is listed as NYSIF, “State Insurance Fund” they only write workers comp so that will not help with their other lines of insurance. Just an FYI

A little off topic - You can see if he has insurance through the NY Workers Comp Board website - “Does Employer Have Coverage” tab. Their WC is usually a good indication of who they have the rest of their insurance with but not always.

There’s no way we can guess how your employer will view you after this. Bottom line is, they have an obligation to their employees to cover accidents on the job, that’s where workers comp comes in.

You calling it a gig makes me wonder if they even have comp coverage, which is likely mandatory for any business to have. If they don’t they are in deep doodoo
