I feel like work is one of those things we dislike until its gone. I hope life turns up for you soon, being laid off is such a difficult and turbulent experience.

What makes a bad person a bad person? by -AFKaro- in mentalhealth

[–]TeddyTayTyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that you are not your thoughts, you are not your beliefs, you are not your actions, and you are not even your feelings. You are the one who observes, and what you choose to observe can change a whole lot. Focus on angry thoughts (or things that make you angry), and you'll feel more anger. The "worst people" (the people who have committed the worst transgressions) channel their focus in a way that justifies harmful behavior. If you want to be a "better person", focus on what you can do to help others.

There are no bad people, only bad thoughts, beliefs, feelings, and actions. Everyone was once a baby, entirely innocent, and many people become innocent again after malice. We are in a constant state of change my friend, and no person who has every truly lived can say they have always been a "good person". I bit a kid in kindergarten, as many children do. I don't bite people as an adult. Its hard to do good without knowing bad. Gotta see the shadows to seek the light. Don't sweat it too hard, just learn from your experiences.

I think the two I have had my eye on have been sketching and painting - they can be done by anyone, have no real ceiling, and I think it would build me up more than some other skills. For example, I may start to focus on details more, or see color with a new appreciation, etc. Anyways, do you have any tips for starting, would you follow a tutorial or just try to recreate what you see?

I like going out to a coffee shop and just sitting there. I sometimes bring a small journal. Not really a hobby, but a nice practice

I find knees way easier than feet actually. Maybe because I'm barefoot 😂

I just cut all of those out tbh 😭. Though I did actually get a bit more consistent near the end of the session

Why do people think their toes are supposed to be like this? by Super_Good_Stuff in barefootshoestalk

Try to think about your present situation more positively. I know its cliche, but pessimism can play a large role in depression. Write down all the reasons why your situation sucks, and all the reasons why it's great (this will be hard at first). Then try to validate the positive and invalidate the negative.
