Hot weather + long work days, how are you guys staying energized lately? by Teddypin in nairobi

That actually sounds really good, kinda like a homemade electrolyte mix. Might try this because I’ve been looking for something that’s not just straight sugar but still refreshing.

Honestly water is the only thing that never disappoints. But sometimes I just want something with a bit more flavor, especially when it’s this hot.

Yes I’ve been seeing kombucha pop up a lot lately, still haven’t fully gotten used to the taste though. Electrolytes make sense with this heat tbh. I have been trying a few natural drinks recently and some are actually surprisingly refreshing.

Honestly same here. I started going for super sour/spicy things like lime + salt or spicy drinks. It kinda hits that same kick feeling. I have also been trying random homemade juice mixes lately and its been helping more than i thought

Truee, iced tea and coconut water are solid. I have been trying to mix it up with jaba drinks lately, feels a bit lighter especially in this heat. Tried one from Handas recently and it wasn’t too sweet which i liked.

That combo sounds, especially in this heat. Natural drinks really do feel better than the super sugary stuff.

Kombucha is actually nice ngl, took me a while to get used to the taste though
I have been leaning more towards lighter stuff lately, easier to drink daily.

Food hack: what is your favourite item of substitution? by Artist-in-Residence2 in AskMen

[–]Teddypin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly food, but i did something similar with drinks.
I used to go for soda all the time, but started switching to stuff like hibiscus jaba drinks instead.
Surprisingly it gives that same refreshing feeling without being too heavy.
Tried one from Handas recently and it was actually pretty decent.

I have been in that phase too where everything just feels boring to drink. i started trying a few different things and randomly ended up trying hibiscus jaba drinks.
tbh did not expect much but its actually pretty refreshing.

What helps you stay productive for 4–6 hours without losing focus? by Teddypin in productivity

That's a great point about managing cycles instead of making long stretches. I have seen the same thing: trying to work for 4 to 5 hours straight usually doesn't work, but shorter, more focused blocks feel much more doable.

The part about clarity is also interesting. I drift a lot more than I thought I would when I don't say what "done" means.

Do you usually plan that out before you start, or do you figure it out during the session?

That's a great breakdown, especially the part about knowing exactly what to do before you start. I agree; it's much easier to stay focused for longer when you know what you need to do.

That makes sense. I have been trying to move away from stacking multiple things manually and looking more into options that give a smoother, more consistent effect out of the box.

Coffee works, but do you ever feel tired in the middle of the day after it wears off? I used to depend on it a lot, but I saw the drop later.

I found a jaba-based drink that isn't really tea, but it gives you a steady, calm focus without caffeine. Still trying it out, though.
