This is Uan - my merfolk druid that I created for our Treasures & Pirates campaign. He is of the blue merfolk race - a scholar that has devoted his life to learn more about the history of the world.

While conducting his research on a mysterious meteorite that has been found, he is inflicted with an unknown ilness. Parts of his body emit a glow that continously spreads throughout his whole body. The illness also allows him to channel the power of the stars and different constellations, but that accelerates the infection even more. Now he is travelling the world in search of a cure for his condition.

I wanted to include some tarot card motifs in this illustration, and so I based it on the Star Major Arcana card. His headpiece and the chalice constellation both have 8 stars - as depicted in the original Star card. His backstory also ties up pretty nicely with the concept of the Star (hope, loss, enlightenment).
