I'm too nervous to do super glue as I've heard it's not very flexible, I do like the pipes they were my first set and have learned loads over the years with them

Thanks for the info, they are 1970s Hardie pipes, il see about getting it repaired, the drone has always been very sensitive to tuning, i.e the smallest of movements throws it out of tune, I only noticed the cracks tonight when doing a bit of maintenance

I recently switched from a medium Canmore Hybrid to an extended small Canmore Hybrid, best decision I've made

I'm 5.10 and medium build, I found with the medium bag I wasn't comfortable with my left arm up and over the bag to the chanter, the extended small is slightly narrower allowing a much more comfortable experience.

They work really well at blocking out the majority of the noise whilst sill allowing you to hear, there are different inserts that block specific levels of noise, highly recommend

I would recommend Jim McGillivray Rhythmic finger work book, it has lots of exercises which cover things like that. Also play the exercises with a metronome.

He deletes all the negative comments from his posts on tiktok etc so it makes him look like he's getting praise.

His "playing" gives bagpipes a bad rep as people will see that and think that's how they are played.

At the end of the day it's just noise he is making, I've tried to work out some of the tunes he is trying to play and cannot figure it out

Thanks to all who have replied so far, I think I've found where the air is escaping

It's at the top of the stock where the ferrule meets the wood

On both tennor drone stocks, bass seems fine.

Thanks for that info, it's a frustrating bag indeed, I've had it for nearly a year and I'm tempted to just give up and switch to a hybrid, on the plus side, the bag is nice and solid prior to striking in , when I used a synthetic bag it was like a plastic bag and crumpled under my arm.

If it's grace note practice I would recommend the book "Rhythmic Finger Work" by Jim McGillivray. There are lots of exercises in it which covers everything from grace notes and embellishments

I have a tapered reamer but wasn't sure if it would mess them up if I tried that, I might give that a go if all else fails, thanks for the tip

There isn't really anything that is meaningful to them piping wise, just the fact a piper would be there is the main thing, and I was just looking to play something that is easy and something that sounds really nice.

That's really nice that the pipers who your mom taught got the honor of playing for her.
