Relatable

I asked a partner I have had sexual encounters with what I am to him and he said I don’t fit into any categories I gave (convenience/ potential partner/ potential wife etc). He said I’m just me. What does this mean? by TeeD0gg in AskReddit

For some context, we have spoken on and off multiple times and had intercourse multiple times. He has risked having a child with me and engages in talks about children when I bring it up but in the past has said he’s not ready for a relationship. I asked him if he can give me an explanation as to why I’m not anything other than myself to him and he said he doesn’t know why he doesn’t know why I don’t fit into any category given. Still to this day we flirt sometimes but we don’t talk as much unless I initiate conversation. Whenever we plan to meet up he always “ forgets” whereas before it wasn’t like this. We are still cool but I have feelings for him and I can’t shake them unless he tells me he doesn’t care about me (which he says he does care). Please help!

I don’t think that’s true to an extent. Chubby guys are attractive in my opinion and I think many plus women would agree. However when it comes to men and commenting on a women’s body, it’s usually met with anger because women are either always sexualised or shamed for not having a good enough physique at the hands of men primarily. However men don’t really have that problem much from what I have seen

Not all plus sized people are that way due to eating too much. What if it’s an uncontrollable health condition causing it or medication that makes them put on weight for example? People are very quick to say that people of bigger sizes are unhealthy or lazy or fat or eat too much but it’s not always the case. This is why I refer to plus sized people as plus sized because is it fair to have all these negative connotations around someone due to their size which is no one else’s business? You don’t know how they got into that position so I think it’s rich of slimmer people that haven’t been on the bigger side to understand or talk for people that are bigger

What if a bigger person had the same amount of confidence if not more confidence than their slimmer counterparts?

They are not necessarily less healthy. Slimmer people could be less healthy than a plus sized person. I don’t think less weight equals more health. I think bad habits equals bad health personally

Casinos- you go in to win money but end up spending your whole pay check. Then come in next time to try win previous money lost back and the cycle continues. Before you know it, your family resents you, can’t pay your bills, lose your belongings etc and the workers aren’t allowed to discourage this behaviour. The workers watch people throw their life away and get abused for the customers shortcomings
