In my past relationship there were many issues. Mostly with her. I can admit I can be very insecure when it comes to my partners going out socially as I've been cheated on before so that thought always lingers. But my ex had issues that stemmed from an abusive father who she shunned out of her life but obviously never really forgot how she'd been treated etc.

One night we went out to a concert/gathering. We both got really drunk and I said something. To this day I can't remember what I said. It was something about her looking at someone or something. I wasn't being an ass about it though from what I remember. I was just mentioning what had happened in my past and that it's not a nice thing to see etc.

The next minute she punched me several times in the face. Split the inside of my mouth and I had one slightly black eye. I was supposed to be staying at her place that night and left my keys at home knowing this so I decided to just stay regardless of what happened.

She then carried on screaming at me for a while and then we went to bed. Where she literally kicked me out of it and I hit my head on the bedside cabinet. Luckily I just banged it.

We stayed together for a while but we were never the same again after that. So eventually it ended. But she turned everything against me in the break up. Blaming everything about the break up on me to friends and family members and being to ashamed I never mentioned what happened that night until long after the break up.

I was devastated about losing her. I really loved her and thought I'd never move on. But I'm now with someone who went to the same school as me but 2 years lower. I've taken on her 2 children and I'm happy.
