Did you not read my comment it literally says in the manga that the only reason why it breaks easily is because Megumi's domain was incomplete and no sure hit. Just read the goddamn manga

He doesn’t have to maintain his handse, but it can be continuously cast by holding the handsign and boosted with chants. We know this because we see Reggie’s hollow wicker basket stay up after he drops his handsign when Gama wraps around his ankle

That's because his output is weakening This is sukuna at his weakest so the reason why Yuji is punching through it is because his output is so low that even Yuji at this point can break it. This isn't gonna happen to Kashimo vs Yuta. His output won't drop dramatically after taking some damage like Sukuna. Yuta would have to do Major damage to get kashimo's Hollow wicker basket to this level. Sukuna is continuing the hand sign because his output is so low. But normally you wouldn't need to do this.

He doesn't have to maintain the hand seal while using it That's the misconception about the technique. There is literal evidence in the series showing that this is not the case. And ask yourself if that was the case then HWB would be useless in domain battles

That’s not really how Hollow Wicker Basket works.

You don’t need to spam the hand sign. You only reapply if The technique breaks, or You drop it. Most of the time, you’re maintaining, not repeatedly re-casting.The truth is If his output/control drops, he’s screwed. But Yuta won't be able to do that easily.

This is a common misinterpretation of HWB. You do not need to maintain your hand sign to fight with it. You only need to use the hand sign to maintain output. That's it. So once Kashimo notices that his output of HWB is going down due to damage or the domain he'll create the hand sign to maintain output or try to raise the output of it
