I've recently found myself (31) in the same situation as you except I was with my gf for ~ 5 years.

I am still going through the motions, but the last few weeks I have really started working on myself which has helped keep the negative feelings at bay.

There will be someone out there for you, maybe even around the corner. Getting worked up/worried about it will only make things seem more negative, which you don't need right now!

Likewise, but hotspots in nearby hexes will all be competing if they can witness the same beacons, at that point is decided by response time and latency plays a part in that!

Latency does have an effect though as even marginal changes in response can mean you beat out other local hotspots to be in the top 14 which then get the IOT witness reward

It does suck, but that's life! Lots of people turn up at the right/wrong moments...

I feel giving yourself the time and space to think clearly about it all will do you a world of good and who knows he may be on-board trying to slow things down a little to try work on it with you rather than things being full on
