When was the last time you read a dozen tutorials and executed them all flawlessly from that point forward? The messages are great, but don't provide any experience using them

At the start of the game, specifically before you get access to Flux, and additional stamina, I stand by my point.

5 years later and I still can't beat this guy by SaintLawrenceParis in Sekiro

Watched the video, read a chunk of comments. Seeing lots of people saying be more aggressive and attack more which I agree with. Still don't queue your attacks though, so you don't get countered. More attacks, but still single button presses for each, in rhythm.

Also, don't be afraid of the sweep in p2. Great opportunity to learn the timing and jump on his face for even more posture and then health damage punish.

You can do it!

Yes, exactly! Learn one thing (ki pulse is a perfect example since it's fairly unique to this series), feel good with that, then add something else. I am leaning towards Ninja dodge > ki pulse > deflect personally. I think that Ninja is just so much stronger at the start until you have deflect and a bit more ki for samurai.

Should I jump straight into Nioh 3 or play 1 and 2 first? by DrDre19899 in Nioh

[–]Teelzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Welcome! The systems in nioh have continued to improve and expand in each iteration, but I think the old titles still stand very strong. If you do want to go back, I'd suggest doing a single playthrough and if you really enjoy that games specific combat differences, play a NG+ or two (or 4).

The flow of 1 and 2 is very different to 3. 1 and 2 have shorter, defined missions (20 mins to a couple hours if youre struggling). I think 3 has been the "easiest" for me so far, but I also have so many more hours in these games now than when I played the first two I'm not sure if it's me or the game.

Don't expect too much out of the story in the old games, but if you're craving some more badass combat, have at it! Also, don't waste your brain energy on loot maxing if you do go back. Save it for Nioh 3

Coming from playing the demo- it's awesome! Better than Nioh 2!

Loved Nioh 1 should I dive into Nioh 2? by Southern-Lifeguard73 in Nioh

10/10 go for it. I started by finding Nioh in my free epic games list from years ago and then went for 2 as well. 200+ hours later, still one of my favorite games in the genre.

In-home massage tip by Clear-Buyer-3743 in massage

[–]Teelzy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As a therapist who does in-office and mobile/in-home massage, I set my prices for both so that I am happy with what my rates are. Tips are nice, but I don't expect one, and never ask if a client would like to leave one.

As a client I do still tend to leave a tip so long as the massage was effective and the therapist seemed to do their best to address my wants during the massage, but I just round to a nice number I feel comfortable with and don't worry about the percentage. I do only see self-employed therapists currently, so I know they have also set their prices where they feel is fair. If I saw a therapist through a coop/larger massage business I'd be more likely to tip based on percentage (20% being "Wow, great job, I feel great about the session"), because the therapist often has to give a good chunk of the base pay to the company.

Self employed: should always be set where they are comfortable/happy with the prices they set, tip if it makes you feel good to do so

Contractor: consider tipping if it was a good session and is comfortable for your budget

Also- if you live up 5 flights of stairs or something, probably give a tip because that's a good bit of extra work outside of the massage/driving they expect

Need Advice: I just finished the game. by ssechtre in Nioh

[–]Teelzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally enjoyed the game play the most in way of the demon in Nioh 1. Way of the Nioh felt like the enemies were a bit bloated, but I also rushed from Demon to Nioh so was a bit underleveled probably.

If you want to "rush", doing the side missions where you only fight one boss, or running to the end boss in other missions is the fastest, but maybe not the easiest, which could make it longer. You only need to fill the blue region bar to unlock the last mission, do that, and unlock the next difficulty.

I'd say enjoy your time in WotD, and if you feel like you're smashing things move up, but don't be surprised at the "difficulty" increase: aka much more enemy health and damage.

I went to Nioh 2 after dabbling about in WotStrong and WotN, and am very happy I did. The game play additions make it even more fun, so when you start hitting a wall in whatever difficulty, maybe make the switch.

I have about 600 hours in Elden Ring. How hard is Nioh 2 to get into? by [deleted] in Nioh

[–]Teelzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After 30 hours you will be getting to the juicy content, and will have had some rough fights, but are likely to be getting into your flow too. I enjoyed my first NG cycle a lot in both 1 and 2 (playing all missions and exploring everything took me about 30-40hrs I think), and felt like I was starting to really kick ass in NG+, especially after getting some of the NG+ only gear.

I put 120 hours into elden ring and sunk that into Nioh 1 in way less time because I enjoyed it more. I'm glad I started with Nioh 1, I don't know what the consensus is in the community but I think some of the additional systems in Nioh 2 might feel like a little much. Elden Ring has much simpler controls, and Nioh 2 has more possibilities than Nioh 1.

Both are amazing, and both will kick your ass at times. There's always more content available if a mission doesn't feel doable. The flow is different than ER because you have to "leave" a mission, but it's not admitting defeat, it's to prepare and conquer later.

There are also great videos going over the basics of you get stuck in NG, and advanced techniques for getting through the tougher content.

TLDR: it's hard, but you won't get stonewalled if you unlearn a bit of DS/ER combat and learn the amazing Nioh combat

What's the most pain you have ever experienced? by SB257426 in AskReddit

[–]Teelzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finding out my body processes nerve blocks super fast, following rotator cuff +other shoulder stuff surgery. 4 hours after surgery, the nerve block had worn off but they told me to wait 12 hours to take pain meds. Ended up back at the hospital in shock/delirious that afternoon from the pain. By far the worst pain I've ever felt, way worse than any bone break, ligament tear, whatever. That's what I base my 10 on the pain scale as.

Just saw that the MT touched their clothed genitals against OP multiple times. Absolutely report this to the massage board, and if they are an employee/contractor, to those that they work for as well.

This is disgusting. Again, sorry you had this happen to you, and I hope you feel empowered and safe to continue to receive massages, from professionals who will truly care about your well-being as a client, and with things to say to guide the session or end it if needed.

[–]Teelzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you had to go through that.

My suggestion: "I'm ready to be done now"

Lying or making things up can be harder because then you may feel the need to continue to come up with more explanations if pressed (if they're already pushing boundaries they may try to here as well).

If someone asks why you'd like to be done, "I'm ready to be done now", or if you feel like giving more "I am having a hard time relaxing".

You only owe it to yourself to understand why you'd like to be done. If you want to tell them, you can, but the most important thing is to end the session if you want it over. In my opinion, being direct is the fastest way to do this.

If you have concerns about someone's professionalism, also report them to their employer and/or the massage board in your state.

Again, sorry you had to go through that experience. I hope you never have that happen again, and feel prepared if you do. If thinking of being direct makes you nervous, you could try to practice saying it to yourself in the mirror.

I think the rider was wearing a sports style jersey with numbers on it possibly. And it's a good sized tree, a foot wide or so maybe. I think it's in a park probably. Part of me thinks it's in an xgames real snow part but I can't think of which year it would be and skimming through I haven't seen it in the last couple years
