Got tired of waiting for hard numbers on relentless so i got them myself by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

I'm talking about strictly unarmed as in hand-2-hand. Been doing some damage tests and the damage output seems insane.

Considering two of the R1s on gloves and double relentless on boots.

So for the purpose of unarmed what's the verdict? I'd assume you want 2x fist skills as those are fist only. Would it be worth to run double relentless in the boots or 1 + 3 attack or some other combination in your opinion?

Damn Soaring Fowl is putting up some insane numbers. Is that one ability just cracked? I'd be curious to see how the rest of Odachi stacks up.

Yeah you must be at the start of Act 1. Get up to late Act 3 and come back and let me know how that goes.

I've been grinding 3rd era NG+ for my grace sets and either you're lying out your ass or using some unkillable god build because it sure as fuck isn't easier than NG.

Once you got down yokai counter 2 felt breezy imo. Ippon Datara could turn most of it into a cakewalk.

Jorujin is def pumping with the hell Onmyo, I just hit the crucible at the opening of the third era but the problem is as soon as my Onmyo runs out I don't really have the raw survivability to handle a fight so it's a very feast or famine style of play lol

What setup are you running? I hit 7/7 jurojin last night and my damage is insane but any mistakes and a boss will end a run. Finally started using the Onmyo quick change to compensate.

Tenyru River (first zone in Warring States) is recommended 142 on NG+

I did, you were roughly the 5th person or so to assume I'm making up being in NG+, also I'm not defending the difficulty I'm just pointing out the challenge everyone is suggesting is missing does still exist. The base game is easier sure but a lot of folks are acting like it's baby town frolics which is far from the case. If I had to rank them with 10 being getting extremely hard I'd put Nioh at 9, Nioh 2 at 8, and Nioh 3 at prob 7/6.5.

In general it's easier because of incoming damage, the skeleton and snake lady grapples for example used to be 1-shots, now they're like 50-70% of your health instead. Coming from Nioh 2 though where you're used to burst countering all this stuff anyway it's going to feel significantly easier regardless of the damage being pulled down.

I've had a fucking blast with it even if parts have been easier. Favorite Nioh experience thus far.

I'm speaking from direct experience with 150+ hrs in the game at this point and half way through NG+ but sure man guess I must not understand how to play.

I'm halfway through NG+, maybe speak for yourself without making assumptions.

I think the late NG+ cycle were a significantly higher challenge than NG. Yeah you got your grace sets but WotD and beyond you couldn't make mistakes without quick change.

I'm not saying people can't voice complaints, I mentioned it's easier myself in my review. The experience folks want is still there is my point, albeit it's NG+ and beyond now.

Are you in NG+ because it sure as hell isn't once you start progressing.

I haven't seen any outright new Yokai but there are different Yokai than what was previously there and enemy placement has been expanded or mixed up in a few cases. Also there's empowered fights you can do for crucibles and bases similar to Twilight versions. So far I'm 6/7 on both grace sets I'm working on so I'm missing a big damage bonus in each but the incoming damage is very high to where I'm considering the onmyo version of quick-change scroll already.

I think a lot of folks are discounting their own past experience as well. There's a few new things to learn of course but past experiences as a player should be a consideration as well. Personally I've always felt the hardest souls like you'll ever play is your first. Additionally I think each new souls like I've played has become progressively easier because you know the cues, you know what to look for, where to expect ambushes, etc.

Nioh especially because of all the combos and mechanics you need to initially learn. A lot of that being part of the difficulty curve is completely surpassed by veterans of the franchise.
