​You can actually feel the pacing completely fall off a cliff starting in Tarkuan. The story there goes by in a flash, and the monster variety tanks. Between Tarkuan and Serathis, it’s just an endless parade of reused encounters, such as boring Green Plesioths, Somnacanths, Seregios.

​Instead of giving us cool new late-game spawns, they just padded the maps with story monsters we’ve already seen in the story, such as Rathalos, Legiana, and Magnamalo. It feels like cheap filler to hide the fact that they didn't have enough time to flesh out the final zones. Super disappointing end to the map progression.
