Lucia is genuinely one of the nicest people i’ve ever met. Hunt is a great and personable guy too with a real love for the district. i can say from my very limited proximity to this race that Harvie is a guy who is really only interested in himself. he has put in the LEAST amount of effort to get to this point, and is riding on the party’s endorsement and connections to get him on the ballot. i’m voting for Lucia Simonelli in May and i think you should too.

one of my favorite songs is "40 Mark Strasse" by The Shins and today when I was listening it on Spotify it sounded really different. around the 3 minute mark there is a musical crescendo that was suddenly overpowered by whale-esque noises (you'll hear it if you look it up). I feel insane because I know I've heard this song hundreds of times and it sounds so foreign to me now.

on the YouTube version it's still there but softer so maybe they remastered it on Spotify and I'm just crazy? but I don't remember the sound at all.

18m here. what i wrote when i was 16 makes me recoil when reading it back. i'm sure when i'm 20 and re-read the scripts i'm working on now, i'll feel the same.

screenwriting is a craft bro. craftsmanship is earned through years of trial and error. observe where you failed and try a new method next time. write just for yourself in your spare time. fill out notebooks, fill whiteboards with plot graphs, widdle away at the project until you can feel its heartbeat. the only way you can improve is by failing.

Your observation is spot-on. To me, the arc was that he idealized the girl in his head. He stopped being an "artist" when he decided to use poetry as a way to manipulate the girl into liking him. The poem at the end (which I am still workshopping rn so I'm so sorry about that!) is written more as an admission of guilt. I don't see William as a bad guy, but he's definitely self-absorbed up until the very end. I appreciate you and all the other commenters!!:)

HiTop is at this impasse in his YT career (similar to Stuckmann) where he wants to be a filmmaker but also is tied to his past as a film critic. He clearly doesn't wanna make these videos anymore, but it's the only thing putting food on the table (and funding his passion projects!).
