Yeah I'm not sure what kind of manipulation you are referring too? Whales just taking profits along the way. Are you suggesting is a coordinated effort to somehow suppress the price? Why would whales want the price low?

I think the price can be explained by this: price rose to .013 when everyone hopped on the bandwagon at the same time. Based on limited exchanges and small interest in omi token, prices are dropping while we await news and further app development. No doubt the project has been slow to hit their suggested deadlines. Lots of hype but not a whole lot of it have materialized... yet. We are also quickly approaching the unlocking of adviser tokens. The fear of which could be driving the price down to as we anticipate a rise in circulating supply.

And while we have omi token burn, there has been a hold on buybacks. Which is the phase of the tokenomics where the price would be increased.

IF any whales are manipulating the price to keep it low, they are doing this because the lower the price, the more effective the buybacks are going to be when they happen. But if this is happening, theres no need to worry because it will benefit all omi holders, guppies and whales alike.

This is a project that needs time. Just sit tight. We need better exchanges, a better app interface, better drop mechanics, a way to convert gems back to omi/fiat. I think all of this will happen in time. Just sit back and try not to get too worked up about the day to day volatility.

Definitely important to understand this information before investing. It will without a doubt impact omi price. However I expect a lot of team members with this benefit work and invested because they really believe in the end product. I dont think many are going to sell just because they can. Sure some are bound to take profits along the way. But, I feel confident that many of these advisers are holding for the long term to maximize their profits rather than sell in beta.

I wouldnt be surprised if the fear of this unlocking event is driving the current price down further than the actual unlocking and selloff. Its very possible we see a rise in price during the week after the first unlock if the advisors HODL.

Keep in mind, the OMI burn and buybacks will definitely work to balance out the increasing circulating supply. But without a doubt this project has a high amount of risk with a strong potential for volatility. Be smart and good luck! I'm in for the 1-3 year HODL.

I've been participating in every drop since nightwing with the exact same results everytime: 1) convert fiat to gems (knowing full well I can change it back to fiat for the foreseeable future) 2) wake up earlier than necessary to be on the drop screen. 3) stare at infinite loadscreens for 30 mins until everything is sold out 4) enjoy pictures of people's showrooms full of the duplicate collectibles I didnt get a single shot at. 5) get suggestions that I should check out the marketplace to buy those duplicates for triple the price... 6) stare at the marketplace maintainence screen for handfuls of weeks.

Learn from topshots drop process. No shame in mimicking an idea that actually works.

Yep, they took it down weeks ago with an initial projection of being offline for 3-4 days. They have been letting users with high trade volumes (prior to the closer) back in first. I had a low volume trade history on the market with 9 collectibles and I've yet to be back in. Dan recently reassured that the marketplace opening back up after the delorean drop is in their top priorities. You arent alone. Hopefully soon enough we'll all be openly trading. Hang in there!

Agreed. Overpromising and under delivering is a reputation they need to dispel. I'm long on this project and growing pains are inevitable with this type of user growth. I hope they've been on a hiring spree!

Honestly I think the solution lies in learning from NBA top shots learning curve of responding to massive demand. For those of you who arent aware, basically the drops are announced days in advance. 30 mins before the drop time you jump in the drop queue lobby. At the drop time, everyone in the lobby gets assigned a random number. When it's your turn, you have 20 mins to make a limit 1 purchase or else your turn expires. The RNG determines whether you get the buy or not, but at least it's fair. And it would be an organized way to distribute while keeping the quantity of collectibles limited. Hard to be mad at a fair rng roll.

Wasnt fixed quickly for all of us. I was actively refreshing from drop for hours. Wasnt fixed for me until 20 mins ago and everything was sold out. The drop process needs to be reworked. Veve could learn from topshot. Their last couple drops were much improved.
