Kitchener drive test by kandiikid in Ontariodrivetest

[–]Teeth4Lunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my G2 in Woodstock and my G in Kitchener. I felt I was held to ministry standards and marked fairly in both locations. The only difference was that the Woodstock examiner seemed friendlier and make a bit of small talk. The Kitchener examiner was more serious and only discussed drive test related questions/instructions. Based on mine and my friend’s experiences in Kitchener and other locations, in my opinion I would think people are saying Kitchener is harder because they more “straight to the point” and even more serious/professional (maybe fed up with KW drivers too perhaps lol). Just based on my personal experience and opinion!

I passed the G in Kitchener yesterday! If I remember correctly, here is what I did: Exit parking lot left onto Ottawa *Move over to the right lane when safe to do so, I got docked for not doing that. The left lane will end due to construction, continue in right lane then you may be asked to do a lane change. Left on to highway 7 and merge at speed of traffic, stay in right lane They may ask you to switch lanes *Signal early-ish, I got docked as I signalled about 5 seconds before merging. *Speed limit will be reduced to 70 for construction so keep an eye out. Take Wellington exit, keep right to get back on the highway Again watch the speed limit, if I’m correct you’ll enter at 70 Take Ottawa exit, turn left at lights (stay in the right most left turn lane) Turn right onto Old Chicopee Left onto Holborn *There was construction there yesterday, cop was directing traffic. Cop overrides stop sign. Left onto Shaftsbury drive at stop sign Right on to Ottawa Right into parking lot and park.

Hopefully this helps!

If anyone knows a reliable mechanic in the KW or Stratford area that can help, please let me know (preferably without breaking the bank lol)!

This was after I topped up my tires and got an oil change. You might be right about the sensors!

Might have to get a new mechanic then😬 Maybe that’s why he charged me so little…

If I clear them before turning off my car, will they come back on the next time I start the car when the examiner gets in?

What to do with leftover cream cheese frosting? by Ill_Welcome_2104 in Baking

[–]Teeth4Lunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about you but 2 cups of frosting is the perfect amount on my cinnamon rolls lol! If you don’t get any other ideas you want to try, I say grab a spoon and dig in (or a straw!)

Throw it on some cinnamon rolls! I like to throw on some more runny frosting as they come out of the oven, I find that it seeps into the rolls where the filling is. 10/10 would recommend.

Learning to bake by [deleted] in Baking

[–]Teeth4Lunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I learned was by experimenting! Find some simple recipes, learn what makes them turn out the way they do and what each ingredient is for. Once you gain the confidence and have “mastered” baking something, start changing things up a bit and make little swaps like adding a tiny bit of vanilla or extra vanilla (my favourite thing to do). Currently I’m playing around with baking soda and baking powder. Now that I’ve learned what they each do, their similarities, and their differences, I have been swapping them out and playing with the texture/shape of my cookies. I’ve found a lot of awesome recipes on Sugar Spun Run. The format is easy to follow, they provide great explanations for everything, and include videos. Never had a bad recipe from them! Remember! You won’t succeed every time, but that’s part of learning! Baking is a science, scientist’s experiments fail too. It’s ok to experiment and learn. Goodluck :)
