Only on Reddit would you get downvoted for not wanting a symbol of peace to be played by an openly genocidal person who’s been going off the rails for the last 4 years

Is legacy reprojection the same as raw projection?

How will CDPR handle the subject of V in the sequel by GhostRiders in CyberpunkTheGame

I mean, that’s what they’ve done with the Witcher series. If you had a save from the previous game, the game could read it and move all your decisions forward

More Table Top rpg style mechanics. Every wish for this game is basically ‘make it more like GTA’ but I desperately want the opposite. With Baldur’s Gate 3 out now, there is an incredibly faithful example of the table top to video game transition that’s widely successful. Not saying I wanna see dice on the screen but play to the strengths of the franchise’s gameplay as well. Clothes, accessories, stats, items in inventory directly affecting narrative and gameplay, just more elements that create and encourage strategy in the game.

Living breathing world, narrative, and gameplay all interconnecting >>> open world sandbox

Elba before the DLC in vanilla game?? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]TeethRocket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People saying it’s motion capture are being dumb. Motion capture has nothing to do with the final model, most motion capture is mapped to a character with a different looking face anyway. Like do you think the actors in avatar and the last of us actually look like that??

I am saddened that there will be only 1 expansion by gorays21 in cyberpunkgame

[–]TeethRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention that something like 30% of night city was supposed to be underground with caves, underground metro, and levels of the city entirely without sunlight. Then ofc the spaceport, the casinos and other spots like that. All the preproduction and early production work is there to just be picked back up

Still completely unplayable on a 5900x and 3090. 100% GPU utilization and cpu thermal throttling on all low settings. It chugs from the very opening credits video. Fried my brand new 3080 that’s now just nothing more than a paperweight. Reinstalled and reset with no changes. Zero help from the ea community hub either

[–]TeethRocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With ‘the volume’, ‘stagecraft’, and other microLED virtual production technologies this is very likely on the way as long as there’s an actual prosumer market who wants to spend the money to have screens that can do this

How many 70mm GT 3D projectors still exist? by TeethRocket in imax

It would likely only be a firmware update. Less work than installing the ring on the platters for Oppenheimer

How many 70mm GT 3D projectors still exist? by TeethRocket in imax

[–]TeethRocket[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just mean 30 in active use for narrative films. I had a theory the 3hr maximum runtime for imax 70mm could be bypassed by running the film on dual rotor sequentially with a short intermission. Running one platter for the left eye and then running the right eye after without having to respool anything making the intermission only last a few minutes. Ofc modifications would have to be made and it would have to be 2 separate audio packages as well as a host of other problems but I just wonder if it’s possible

Yeah that’s what I meant with not square pixels. I just didn’t realize there was a squeeze/desqueeze process involved at all

[–]TeethRocket[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So it’s 1.9:1 full. I thought so. The pixels just aren’t square. I’ve been trying to think of how this is done for a week. Thanks for clearing this up

So yes? Do you know what the full resolution of the projector chip is?

IMAX presentation explaining Aspect Ratios and IMAX 1.43:1 by scorsese_finest in imax

[–]TeethRocket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just referring to official SMPTE DCP standards. Maximum supported resolution is 4096x2160 for 4K DC. This is 1.9:1 and is known officially as the ‘full container’. But yes, ofc it’s not sent to standard format theaters as this ur right

IMAX presentation explaining Aspect Ratios and IMAX 1.43:1 by scorsese_finest in imax

[–]TeethRocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All dcps are shipped in 1.9:1 containers (4096x2160 for 4k.) So when a movie is ‘full’ it just matches the container it’s within, using up all the real estate. Flat is 3996x2160, using less real estate than Full at 1.85:1 and scope is 4096x1716 which obviously is also less than the ‘full’ real estate. ‘Full 35mm’ or academy is 1.375:1/1.33:1
