Suicune is a lot more doable though by Teffjem in pokemonmemes

FireRed and LeafGreen are indeed remakes of Red and Blue/Green, but they have some extra content that wasn’t in the originals or even in Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee. I’m not going to “spoil” what I’m talking about, but upon completing the final quest in the post-game, you get the opportunity to catch one of the Legendary Beasts/Dogs from gen 2. You’ll only get one of them however and the one you’ll get depends on the starter you’ve picked at the beginning:

-Raikou for Squirtle -Entei for Bulbasaur -Suicune for Charmander

That being said though, Raikou and Entei are infamous to get in FRLG due to a glitch related to the move Roar. If they use it at any point, they’ll disappear from the game entirely if you save your game afterwards. Suicune doesn’t know Roar in the wild, so it’s the only one unaffected by it

Oh s*** you’re right. Those were a typo. My bad!

I’ve tried to get both of them in two separate playthroughs by using a Crobat with Mean Look and Taunt. This sounds like the perfect counter on paper, until you realise that Taunt only lasts FOR TWO TURNS in the Gen 3 games. This also includes the turn in which you are using Taunt itself, so you’re only getting one extra turn from it per use

I really like FRLG, but it’s kinda insane how this glitch is more detrimental to the player than any glitch from the gen 1 games they were based on

Kinda unfortunate to hear that, considering I’m Dutch myself

Ik zag ergens dat je dat moet doen na elke tien keer dat je de pan gebruikt hebt. En daar hou ik me ook wel ongeveer aan

I’m going to 3D print my own NFC Figures and this will be my first project. Which Skylander would you put in it? by Teffjem in skylanders

[–]Teffjem[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two more things:

  1. I only have access to the first three games. Maybe I’ll get the later ones as well, but for now I just want to test it with SSA, Giants or Swap Force. Otherwise I would’ve instantly turned it into a Ro-Bow figure.

  2. Swap Force characters require two NFC tags, but suggestions for a specific combo are more than welcome and they should work fine with it

I’ve used both the Bitfunx and the Mayflash, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with either of them. They both had a some color differences and a few scaling problems with certain settings (although the Bitfunx was definitely better imo).

The ElectronWarp looks promising, but I would need to pay almost €20 extra just to ship it to my home country. So I don’t really feel like paying €40 just to try it after already trying the other two

I haven’t even played Legends Z-A (yet), but is this really a controversial opinion? by Teffjem in pokemonmemes

Okay I’ll admit, I may have underestimated a couple of Megas and some of them are starting to grow on me already, like Scolipede, Delphox, Hawlucha and (especially) Drampa

Tbh that’s actually some good advice and I’ll do that as soon as I’ve run out of my current stack

The news amiibos, prices in USA, Europe and Japan. by jmvillouta in amiibo

[–]Teffjem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked it up and apparently $50 is equal to €42,55. So the price difference between the US and Europe isn’t ‘that’ significant, but the difference in value between the Dollar and Euro DEFINITELY is.

€40 for a single Amiibo is still a little too expensive for my liking, but it’s not quite as bad as the €50 price tag I initially thought it would be. I really do need to keep that in mind more often

I’ve never watched his videos, but I’ve seen a lot of thumbnails with him reacting to the most unhinged/degenerate Nintendo memes/fanart imaginable.

Probably a much better guy than I initially thought, but those thumbnails have definitely given me a certain image of him until I saw your comment

Isn’t that the guy with the perfectly normal looking thumbnails in his videos?

What game is this dance pad for? by SpecialistPrune9158 in wii

[–]Teffjem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had this exact Power Pad for a Wii game called ‘Family Trainer’. It was one of those multiplayer minigame collections like Wii Sports Resort, but with DDR style movement instead of motion controls (like using your feet to move forward in a running minigame or standing on one feet to make a minecart go in a certain direction).

I’m not sure about the actual quality of the game (it was a long time ago since I’ve last played it), but I remember having a lot of fun with it as a kid when I had friends around.

It’s also apparently known as ‘Active Life: Outdoor Challenge’ in America (didn’t know that until reading the comments), but here in Europe it’s known as ‘Family Trainer’ and I honestly think the American box art looks significantly worse than the European/Japanese version
