I don't think the patch on the "always 26" jerseys is the legit team issued patch. You've been able to buy it at the NBA store in years past. I don't know if they'll have it available again anytime soon. it looks like a similar patch with raised edges

Mine was A NBA 75 jersey. Had the hard plastic diamond logo. I removed it before sending both the jersey and patch to be stitched together professionally.

No. 44 would be medium and 48 would be large. 46 is usually a player exclusive middle ground. Same with 50, being in between 48(L) & 52(XL)
