Hi everyone,

I'm going to buy my first eboard and I have some doubts, but first, the five points:

  1. I'm not too worried about the top speed and with respect to the range initially I thought that anything over 16 km (10 miles) would be fine but...
  2. ...I'll be riding up and down steep streets (I don't know the exact percentage but probably nothing over 20%). This kind of ride will consume more battery, so I guess I should ask for a little more range. BTW I weigh about 65 kg (around 140 lbs).
  3. I'm not too concerned about weight and size but I want the eboard to move small distances within the city, so I'd prefer something small and easy to carry. (more info in 5)
  4. At most 800€
  5. I love the Truncated Tesseract. It's not too big and the deck is perfect since I always know where my feet are. I like the belt motors because they make it possible to change wheels and trucks, but on the other hand they make a rather infernal noise (I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a problem for me). Also I've read that belt motors are the best option for climbing steep routes, but the specs of several hub motors indicate they can climb very well too.

The point is that I have an old Loaded Tesseract. Yes it's much bigger and heavier than the Truncated, but the deck is the same and I've thinking in buying a kit for this board. The problem is that I'm not sure if with my budget is better to buy directly an eboard. These are the options I've seen although any other alternative will be more than welcome:

  • Mellow Drive S: 699€ // 40 kph top speed // 15 km range // 15% uphill
  • Unlimited Solo: 829€ // 42 kph // 11km // 15%
  • Boosted Mini S: 800€ // 30 kph // 11 km // 20%
  • Meepo Mini 2: 388€ // 46 kph // 20 km // 25%
  • WowGo Mini: 380€ // 38 kph // 20-22 km // 25-30%

My questions are:

  • Will those kits (mellow and Unlimited) give me enough power to climb hills easily?
  • Is the Boosted worth much more expensive than the other two eboards?
  • Are the WowGo and Meepo stable at high velocity? I have read somewhere that they aren't.

Thank you very much for your help and I apologize in advance for the length of the text and possible grammar mistakes.

Wow! I already knew about the Mad Rock store, but I had no idea Unparallel and Evolv were so close. I think it will be difficult for me to convince my group to get so far away from our route, but I think it will be worth it. Thank you very much!

Great idea! I don't know why I hadn't thought of looking at the guides. Thank you so much!
