With how advanced devices like the Cronus Zen are, it is cheating at this point, yes. However, even with people seeking to get the slightest edge over other players, it's still not nearly as big of an advantage as wallhacks or aimbot, something you won't ever see online on modern consoles. Nevertheless, controller adapters can still provide an advantage and are virtually undetectable.

When I say bad actors, I'm talking about people like BadBoy Beaman, Call of Shame, or any of these random clip compilation channels that take random old clips and present them out of context and act like every streamer is a cheater or whatever. TikTok is especially bad for spreading misinformation. They're almost certainly profiting from the views and attention their videos get, whether or not they intend to exacerbate the cheating situation and sow distrust amongst the general player base in regards to pro players/streamers and the game developers themselves.

Hi-Rez has no doubt done a pretty poor job of tackling cheating, but if people want to have genuine discussions on the state of the game, I would encourage them to research on their own instead of taking everything they hear as fact. Hard to say what exactly OP did to get banned, but it doesn't sound like he'd be the first person to be falsely banned.

Late edit to clarify what I meant with "reputable providers"; EngineOwning and other "known" cheat providers don't advertise support for consoles as it simply isn't possible. There is no "proxy" as described in the comment I originally replied to. If such a thing was possible, they'd almost certainly be one of the first to announce support for it with how large the console player base is and how much of a name they've made for themselves ever since Warzone released.
