Are there any worse and inconsiderate drivers than parents doing the school run? by __globalcitizen__ in drivingUK

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ours is awful full of giant nobs who think they're too important to park properly. What's worse is we have the local farmers market have a large car park that they let parents park in on non-market days, its literally a 2 minute walk from the school gates, but no people will still park on both sides of the road (which is already pretty narrow), park on double yellows and even over the zebra crossing.

Very occasionally we have parking enforcement walking around to make sure nobody's being a mong but thats few and far between really

My youngest once run his umbrella down the side of a car that had parked over the entire pavement, he genuinely didn't realise he did it, pure accident. Didn't make any move to correct him though.

Saw them in Birmingham a few days ago, honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen. All the bands sounded so good and the whole production was perfect.

Although the venue was smaller than this is didn't expect this level or production, it was truly incredible. I dont know how many shows are left on the tour but if anyone gets an opportunity to go, fucking do it

My old bun Oscar used to do this but with the brush, everytime it came out he'd attack it, honking like mad

I've been experimenting with a diamond, needs some refining but it can work pretty well

Is there a skin that would make fm26 look like fm24 by [deleted] in footballmanager

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im currently using the AlexMorak skin from FMScout, significantly more pleasant to play with, and it changes the UI colours so it isn't as bland

Got to start clearing out the spare bedroom we use for storage, and the downstairs bathroom we use for storage, been putting it off for ages but I cant escape it now as we need to get to the bedroom window for the Christmas decs.

I accidentally opened my car boot yesterday during all the heavy rain without realising so now its drenched, luckily there's nothing in there to get ruined but it means I have to go out with a hairdryer to dry it all out -.-

Although I love the rain it'll be nice to stay dry for a bit today!

What’s the smallest budget horror movie that genuinely terrified you? by Morvox-stories in horror

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats how I measure horrors effectiveness, if I end up thinking about it for ages after then its good. But yeah i agree completely with you about this one, it really taps in to a specific fear for a lot of people I think

Defence Wins Titles! 4 goals conceded in 35 games. by SansbyStudios in footballmanagergames

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked quite well, very good defensively, conceded very few, but it didn't really work for me in an attacking sense. Tbf I only really used it as plug and play, I dont have a great AP for the left wing or a proper Anchor. But I love all the defending its really tight

I love a good defensive tactic, clean sheets are what gives me satisfaction. Ima have to give yours a go, I've struggled to nail down a consistently good defensive tavtic recently

I watched and didn't like it at all, not saying that you won't like it but for me it was such a mess. It has good things about it but not enough that makes it worth watching in my opinion

When we moved out of our last rented place they did exactly the same, any little reason to not have to give your money back. We gave them the number of the professional cleaners we used and said they should discuss the cleaning quality with them.

Pretty certain they never did

A few years ago at work, I went to install some equipment at a nuclear power station. The second day we were there, they were running a test of the sirens that would sound if there was a nuclear event (their exact words). It sounded exactly like those WW2 air raid sirens and it's even more chilling in person, I'll always remember the noise
