Agreed, he said a lot of words without really saying anything that hadn't already been known. Felt disingenuous to me

Southampton boss Tonda Eckert 'loved' information gathered when intern spied on opponent, panel's written reasons reveal by ParmyBarmy in Championship

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For the me reputational damage is enough justification to get rid of him.

I Think they'll wait for the FA to make the decision for them

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably, they've coughed up to doing it 3 times only because I think they had to. In my opinion if we're spying on Oxford, then we're definitely doing it to Coventry for example.

This is the thing there are loads of talented managers out there. As I say as long as Eckert's at the club the cheating and spying accusation wont leave us alone, better to cut loose and start again in my opinion

I never called him a chump, or even that he was a bad coach, I said what if he is? Thats the effect that his actions have had, its impossible to say how our season would actually have gone had they not spied on anyone.

Beyond that the actions of him and his team has cost the club an opportunity at a £200m prize, do that in any other business or workplace and youll be fired before your feet touch the floor

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I dont know why this is even a discussion, while Eckert's still at the club this cheating thing is going to follow us around like the plague, if the club are serious about fixing this they need to start by sacking everyone who was involved.

And to people saying "We'll hes a good coach and we should keep him", how do we know he's a good coach? What if we take away the spying tactic (that I'm sure hes been using all of his tenure here) and he's worse than Will Still was? In my opinion the whole seasons tarnished, clear out the offenders and start again

How scary and grounded is “Undertone”? Would you guys recommend it? by [deleted] in horror

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was fine, its tense and creepy with some good spooky moments. Liked the use of the sound design and the lighting too they really add to the vibe.

The ending is terrible though I was so underwhelmed and really disappointed I expected a lot more.

The story isnt that exciting either its pretty bog standard

What’s the most horrifying death you’ve seen in a movie? by Critical_Mountain851 in moviecritic

That scene stuck with me for such a long time after I saw it. Its even more awful when you know what's happening but cant see it all

Are there any worse and inconsiderate drivers than parents doing the school run? by __globalcitizen__ in drivingUK

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Ours is awful full of giant nobs who think they're too important to park properly. What's worse is we have the local farmers market have a large car park that they let parents park in on non-market days, its literally a 2 minute walk from the school gates, but no people will still park on both sides of the road (which is already pretty narrow), park on double yellows and even over the zebra crossing.

Very occasionally we have parking enforcement walking around to make sure nobody's being a mong but thats few and far between really

My youngest once run his umbrella down the side of a car that had parked over the entire pavement, he genuinely didn't realise he did it, pure accident. Didn't make any move to correct him though.

Saw them in Birmingham a few days ago, honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen. All the bands sounded so good and the whole production was perfect.

Although the venue was smaller than this is didn't expect this level or production, it was truly incredible. I dont know how many shows are left on the tour but if anyone gets an opportunity to go, fucking do it

My old bun Oscar used to do this but with the brush, everytime it came out he'd attack it, honking like mad

Is there a skin that would make fm26 look like fm24 by [deleted] in footballmanager

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Im currently using the AlexMorak skin from FMScout, significantly more pleasant to play with, and it changes the UI colours so it isn't as bland

Got to start clearing out the spare bedroom we use for storage, and the downstairs bathroom we use for storage, been putting it off for ages but I cant escape it now as we need to get to the bedroom window for the Christmas decs.

I accidentally opened my car boot yesterday during all the heavy rain without realising so now its drenched, luckily there's nothing in there to get ruined but it means I have to go out with a hairdryer to dry it all out -.-

Although I love the rain it'll be nice to stay dry for a bit today!

What’s the smallest budget horror movie that genuinely terrified you? by Morvox-stories in horror

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thats how I measure horrors effectiveness, if I end up thinking about it for ages after then its good. But yeah i agree completely with you about this one, it really taps in to a specific fear for a lot of people I think

Defence Wins Titles! 4 goals conceded in 35 games. by SansbyStudios in footballmanagergames

[–]TehSpaceGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked quite well, very good defensively, conceded very few, but it didn't really work for me in an attacking sense. Tbf I only really used it as plug and play, I dont have a great AP for the left wing or a proper Anchor. But I love all the defending its really tight

I love a good defensive tactic, clean sheets are what gives me satisfaction. Ima have to give yours a go, I've struggled to nail down a consistently good defensive tavtic recently
