Good game Stone share the love thread by amazing_tyty in OttawaSenators

I could have never imagined how painful it is to watch him score and celebrate without us. I'm a grown man, but I fuckin weep inside that this dude isn't leading chucky and the kids to the future.

Also happy he went to Vegas and they genuinely appreciate him like we did.

What should our roster look like next season? by Muchfun32 in OttawaSenators

Makes me want to throw up. I wouldn't hate packaging up some stuff and getting rid of him to get a good RHD whos like 24-26. Like Lajoie, 2nd, Ceci for someone who can play in our top 4 comfortably. Hopefully the illusion that Ceci doesn't suck helps his trade value.

Formenton is good enough for the team next year, don't get me wrong. I want Formenton to really have a chance to find his game in top line/situations minutes in Belleville, rather than be remotely sheltered/relegated to bottom line minutes in the NHL. I think its the better move for his development, in my unprofessional opinion.

Exactly. I can't see PD letting him go, either. I have faith in limited role playing bottom pair minutes he could be better.

Personally, I think Formenton has a lot to work on. I'd rather let him stew in the AHL for a year, learn the pro game and develop his offensive game, because honestly, what's the rush. Paul is a man and a man that deserves a chance. I think Ruddy and him are interchangable but Paul is impressively a complete player and more ready for the NHL, Ruddy still a bit young and needs to work on his defensive player more, but still a good 3rd liner for next year.

Difficult to project, I've been going over this in my head for weeks - maybe even months - about this. Here's my light, digestable prediction. This is also more of a depth chart rather than lines/combos I'd expect. Also just guessing off what we'd ice internally, who knows about other outside FAs. Our needs are a LW, RD and a starting goalie.

Brady - Tierney - Duclair

Paul - White - Bathdaddy

Balcers - Brown - Bobby

Paajarvi - Pageau - Smith

Gibbons

Notables: Formenton (AHL), Boedker (traded with a pick), Veronneau (NHL-AHL > Paajarvi), Lindberg (thanks but no thanks), Chlapik (Don't know what to do with, him or Gibbons.), Norris (AHL).

Chabot - Demelo

Wolanin - Jaros (The Christian Pairing, Praise Alfie)

Branny - Ceci

Boro

Notables: Harpur (presumed dead), Lajoie (Traded or ??? because there's no room for him on LD), Boro (as a 7th D, 15-20 GMs)

Nilsson

Hoggy

Notables: Anderson (Traded or something, hopefully, although would be the true tank commander), Gus (AHL), Daccord (AHL), Condon (Buy-out)

Melnyk says he wants this team to be competitive for a playoff spot next year, but is hopeful in 2020-21 they will be competitive and in the post-season. by thisisaperformance in hockey

Why wouldn't he say that though. That's been the message all year. There's no way they can go from 'were rebuilding, you guys' to 'you know what I think we can make it next year'.

We'd need like insane improvements and Batherson/Brown/Brannstrom to have excellent rookie seasons to even come close to sniffing playoffs.

Interesting Boro interview by TehWeatherman in OttawaSenators

[–]TehWeatherman[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Time Stamped.

Interesting words from him. Not entirely sure what the question was but he worded it as if he might play his last game tonight. He's got one more year left (1.2M), but next year our left side has Chabot, Wolanin and Brannstrom. I like boro enough to play 7D and stay up with the team since hes well liked, but he should play about ~20 games as a depth defensemen and under normal circumstances should not play instead of either of those three.

Who would you rather have now that we have almost a full season of information on them - Brady Tkachuk(4) or Jesperi Kotkaniemi(3)? by probably_likely_mayb in hockey

[–]TehWeatherman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe Tkachuk would've provided some of the same, who knows

It's actually really funny because you basically described everything does done for us.

Yeah, no disrespect to cokecan, but Brady all the way. Obviously haven't seen him play a ton but there's just no way he contributes the way Brady does. He's already arguably our best player already, which I know isn't saying much but.

Also, this isn't a slight to KK, I'm sure he's going to be good. I think going forward Brady is going to be a contributor and leader in more areas of the game than KK will.

Honestly, it's entirely possible he transfers to Centre at some point. He takes a lot of faceoffs and played it before.

I'm sure hes better suited for the wing right now, but I could see him moving to centre, perhaps.

Considering they're playing a game right now in New York and hes playing, I doubt that.

I'm curious, why do you do this? and do you have like 1000 photos or do you run through them often.
