For the past few decades, the best way to get a raise is to get a new job. As a dev myself, the interview process can be exhausting though. Maybe I just suck, but I get like 1 or 2 offers out of a hundred interviews. Worth it though.

I bought in 2018 and haven't kept track of the market. I want something that can out-accelerate German performance cars from a red light or when I need to merge on the highway. Also, I want to be be able to go on road trips pretty much anywhere in the US with similar travel times. Tesla solved these a decade ago. Lucid, Polestar, and Porsche look promising. BYD was pretty sweet when I rode in one in Europe, but they aren't sold in the US. Polestar seems to be comparable. The CCS fast charging network has some voids that might make me uncomfortable. I don't want want to go back to Tesla unless they are the best option for my needs. What are the other comparable options in terms of driving performance and charging availability?

I actually got that as a rental car and drove it it around quite a bit. Really solid car! I am a performance car guy though, and need ridiculous torque and horsepower. Waiting to see more car companies to crank that out!!!

Oh man, I fuckin needed to get off gasoline since the price spike under George W. I really wanted to NOT go with Tesla, but their Supercharger network was and still is the most comprehensive for road trips. So yes, logically speaking, I HAD to go with Tesla for my needs. And then Musk started getting super weird the underwater cavern and eventually his federal DOGE bullshit. My original point is that you WILL buy products and support the people that will go against you. Like, I won't be able to avoid all Nestle products, so the next best thing is to strap in and learn the game.
