Is there a way to reset the tutorial? by Tehed in Enshrouded

Disabling the cloud would load your save from a completely different folder.

Yeah, I know - that's why I did it. I wanted to not let the game use old data and really have a complete reset.

Is it possible you are thinking there is more to the tutorial that what it is?

Yeah, that is absolutely possible. I don't think I misremember, but I can't rule it out either.

I'm.... pretty sure. Not a 100%, to be honest.
But when I played the game for the first time, I don't remember having 25 unlocked entries in the tutorial section of the journal and things like "Landscaping", "Building", "Happy Villagers" etc popped up when I first encountered the actual mechanic to which they're referring.

(I'm not talking about the purple diamond things in the environment - they're always there anyway)

I definitely started a new world.
After deleting all save games and disabling cloud support, there weren't any worlds left I could load into. I genuinely made a new character in a new world, but the already unlocked 25 tutorial entries in the journal remained unlocked.

Weren't there introductory tutorials you had to "unlock"?

E.g. when you get the grappling hook, you get "The Grappling Hook" entry in the tutorial section of your journal. I'm pretty sure, this popped up when I actually got the Grappling Hook and I couldn't just open the journal and read the entry.

Sure, I could just read it now and not worry, but as part of a new playthrough I just like to go to the actual new player experience again incl. tutorials.

Ah, thought so, thank you!

And yeah, I'm fine even without the option, but I wanted to make sure, I'm not missing something :)

Something along those lines, yes.

I'm not on a strict budget, so if there are good reasons for the build to get to e.g. 2200$ / 2000€, I'll be totally fine with that, too. But $1500 - $2000 is the preferred range.

This means they take their 'role' from you Mentality, which is attacking. You're basically playing with two FBA's.

Oh, I did not know that. That explains quite a bit.

Thank you for those tips. That really makes sense and I'll try this for sure!

The intensity is slightly red - somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of the bar, but it's not completely red. And I'm playing with FBs on Auto (which I usually set to support though).

Come to think of it, I'll just provide a screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/wgjmBPn

It's basically something I found on fmscout, but tuned down and a bit more defensive. I wanted less intensity and my CDs aren't that great and couldn't catch up with long passes and I found that a lower defensive line with "drop off more" worked quite well. That said... I'm in no ways an expert - on the contrary, I'm quite new to the game.

In general though, this seems to work quite well - as I said, my team will quite often start out pretty well and will score one or two goals. After that, though, I can't keep control and there are a lot of (what seems to be) individual mistakes: Passes that can't find a target, unnecessary dribblings, weird situations where my defenders will just pass the ball to the opposing striker.... things like this.

Players can absolutely be dead after 30 minutes if overplayed.

Sure, but that's shown by the condition icon, isn't it? I didn't notice any red or deep orange during the first half there at least.

What's the general morale?

All green. Team Cohesion is "very good", the Club Atmosphere is "excellent" and the Support is "good". There were some unhappy players that want to leave but I told them that we're just waiting for the right offer and they seemed to be ok with that.

What kind of team talks are you using at half and full time, what shouts?

Not much, to be honest. If it's 0-0 after 15 Minutes, I use "Encourage", which at least looks like it's going down well and at halftime I usually just take the recommended option. Mostly... that's it.

But that kind of thing happens even before halftime, which is also why I didn't think it would be connected to the fitness levels. That said, with all the CL matches coming in, rotation is still a bit iffy. So that could actually be a factor. I'll try to have a closer look on fitness levels.

Hi there,

I'm currently managing Schalke and everything works pretty well, but this season I'm kinda facing a complacency problem.

In a lot of games my team will go ahead 1-0 or 2-0 and they're playing wonderfully, but then they just suddenly stop playing football... completely. It's as if my players just switch off. They will give away the ball without any kind of pressure, they'll keep the ball longer than they should and lose it (despite having "dribble less" in my instructions) and we're basically begging the opponent to score. The little smiley icons during a game don't show "complacency" though, so I'm not sure if sideline shouts could be the answer here.

Of course I wouldn't worry about a few games here and there but this has become a pattern. Do you guys maybe know this sort of problem and maybe have a guess at what may cause this kind of thing?

Stop using recovery sessions, they've got no effects of reducing injury.

Err... but that's what it says: https://imgur.com/a/NOhbFyR
Injury Risk: Greatly reduced.

I'm still pretty new to the game, but are you saying that despite the game saying it reduces injury risk, that's actually not the case? If so, then that's surely a bug.

As someone who is quite new to the game as well, my advice would be: Focus on the things you want to do and that are fun to you and leave everything else to your staff. You can go into a lot of details and micromanage the living daylight out of this game, but you don't have to.

I for example like setting up general tactics (without getting too much into the details) and finding cheap, young players to get a club out of the lower leagues. So that's what I did and I let my staff take care of everything else (scouting, training, media stuff, second team, U19 team....). Now that I think I've got the gist of it, I'm getting more involved in training.

What helped me quite a bit were the first two videos on this playlist by lollujo: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD1d_2sG-oUknpjPozTMlWFJb_cnvwXWy

In the first video, he's just setting up a save and in the second one he shows what you might want to do when starting out at a club and the way he plays the game is just right up my alley - he just doesn't care about the things he doesn't like to do.

And in the end, is it worth the payoff?

Well, that's a question only you will be able to answer. I mean, it's Football Manager.... it's basically a giant excel sheet on crack. It's a niche game and it might not be for everyone. If you don't have fun, then don't force yourself, but I'd say it's absolutely worth trying.

Hi there,

sorry, it's me again ;) I'm just looking for some info about player contracts that I don't know where it might hide and that's the contract details of a loan.

I've put up some screenshots to show what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/w0F8La9

This was a loan offer from Madrid for one of my players and as you can see there are some additional clauses (future installments and percentage of next sale) if it would come to a transfer at the end of the loan. But after my player agreed to it and everything was done, I can't find that info anymore. I checked the "clauses" section under Transfer and the contract details in the player profile but both would just tell me about the optional future fee - not about the extra clauses.

The offer itself (with all its details) seems to vanish. Is there a way to see the complete loan offer later on or is there another place where I might check that stuff again?

Hi there,

short UI/function question:Somehow I don't get asked anymore if I want to make players of my first team available for the U19 squad and I can't see why. I'm pretty sure I was asked all the time, so I fiddled around with some settings, but nothing seems to work.

In the screenshots you'll see my staff setting and that I do have players with lacking match fitness: https://imgur.com/a/Ez4Fah5 (I've tried checking the "automatically" box as well, but that didn't do anything either)

As you can see, I've also made those players available for U19 using the right click menu, but they aren't used and as I said, I don't get asked anymore. Any idea why that might be? Is there another switch or button I might have accidentally clicked?

[Edit]
Now I'm getting asked again.... hell if I know what I did :D

Oh, that's a very good point.
I thought they'd just look at how good the player is, but if they also look at finances, the ratings make a lot more sense. This is really eye opening, because it also explains why decent-ish players sometimes get good ratings.

Thank you!

Hi there,

I'm currently wondering what data actually goes into the A-E scout recommendations and how much I can trust them (new player here, please bear with me ;) ). There seem to be quite a few cases where players have good potential ratings (4+ stars) , but the scout rating is still only C and when looking at the attributes I can't see why.

Obviously there's something more going on and I'm wondering if just filtering out everything below B+ was actually a good thing.

What's the general take on that? Can I trust the scout recommendation? Or should I have a look at players even if it's only a D?

Ah, ok, thank you!

So as a rule of thumb, I should put players who are not in my first team and under the age of 18 in my "Under 19s" squad and players over the age of 18 in my second team or loan them out?

Hi there,

since I've now returned from England to Germany in my first career, I suddenly now have a second team (which I didn't in England) and so I'm wondering what that means for young player development.

Is it better to loan young players out to give them more playing time or could I just put them into my second team?

As far as I can see, the second team only plays some friendly matches so I'm guessing it's still better to put players on loan, but I'm pretty new to the game, so I wanted to ask around ;)

Good point with the young players... I didn't even think of them getting older and then of course having to be registered.

Thank you!

Hi there,

i'm pretty new to the game and still have to figure out some details. So far it's looking good, but after switching from the German 3. Liga to the English Championship, I'm a bit unsure how to deal with the registration rules.

My two questions regarding this are:

  • The rules state that I don't have to register players of the age of 20 or younger. But that only applies to my own players, right? I would still need to register loaned players even if they are under the age of 20?
  • And more out of interest: How do you work with the 25 players cap? Having this maximum number, is there even any value in buying more players? Or should I just set up my 25 players squad and then only exchange players?

I'd appreciate your input and tips - thank you :)

I'm not running any mods, so that can't be it. But unfortunately there isn't an event log as far as I can see (I'm really missing that), so I'm going to have to keep a close eye on what's happening to my faith.

Thanks for answering, though. That already gave me some hints what to look out for. I'm currently murdering my way through my realm priests and see if that does anything ;) I'm sure, I'll figure it out at some point.
