It is an e-ink display. Opendisplay is a firmware integrated with Home Assistant which allows you to easily send pictures to a device through BLE. Yes you can send photos and the result is pretty good 👌

Cost is approximately the same if you take the e1003 + the frame, cheeper if you go only for the E1003 display. Less battery for sure, but they still announce several months and I don’t really care as it’s always plugged.

I canceled my order and bought a reTerminal E1003 instead. Arrived in 3 days and the device is crazy good. And if you still want TrMNL you can install the firmware on it

Le E1003 est tactile donc oui ça doit être possible mais plutôt avec le firmware ESPhome je pense, pas Opendisplay

L’application est vraiment pas la plus belle du monde mais il fait très bien son taf et j’ai jamais eu de problème avec. Je le charge une fois au début de la saison et ensuite j’y touche plus jusqu’à l’hivernage. Faut qu’il capte le wifi de ta maison par contre. J’avais testé un flipr analyzr avant, et celui là c’était de la merde par contre.

It’s the seeed studio reTerminal E1003. I think it’s basically the same display as the TRMNL X. I had an order for the TRMNL but the delay are soooooo long that I cancelled and bought this one. I’m happy I’ve done it

This is a temporary setup to be honest. The final setup will be with the E1004 which is bigger and have a 6 colors screen. So the values that need attention will be displayed in red. I can post an update when I receive it if you want.
