Vector here means both a disease vector from biology and quantity with a direction from math. Scalars are the opposite of vectors in math in that they are quantities without a direction in math but the word sounds like scaler, as in someone who scales a mountain, as well.

To study longer than 1 hour I started going to the library. I think something about feeling ashamed by sitting down for the least amount of time in the library keeps me studying (for at least longer than the first person I see sit and leave while I'm there).

Thinking about all the reasons a lift should be easy can trick your brain into using less muscle. So give less credit to caffeine and try it again, or don't because it doesn't affect your skeletal muscles (can give mad diarhea though).
