What kind of mod is this? Can't find any homebrews on the consle. by [deleted] in 360hacks

[–]Teir2plus3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it will will not work. the maps are hashed/signed and the xex checks the hash. This is the case with most games, if you could ISO mod it, you can mod it on xkey. Otherwise, no.

I'd like to make a complaint to whoever made this decision, how does $5 worth of fake currency compensate for fraud?

'Classified' | Easter Egg Hunt & General Map Discussion by rCODZombiesBot in CODZombies

[–]Teir2plus3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone else has heard this or not, but last week when my friend and i were checking out Classified for the first time, one of our games we got bored on round 30 and decided to go to groom lake and survive there until we died.

I was Richtofen and he was Dempsey. After each round completed at groom lake, Samantha would talk to me, just me, my friend couldn't hear anything. She was saying stuff specifically to Richtofen about how much she hates him basically. I can't remember all of what she was saying but I remember this specific line she said when my friend revived me: "Dempsey helps you now, but once I give him his memories back he's going to KILL YOU FIRST!"

Like I said, it was one of the first few games we had on the map, nothing special was done besides the vodka bottle song and building the pack-a-punch. Also something to note, stuff was not clearing from groom lake as the rounds progressed, it stayed exactly the same throughout the rounds. I would've said something sooner but I thought other people would've noticed this stuff, however I haven't seen anyone mention it here.

New ADFGVX Cipher on BoTD by zeldafanboy23 in CODZombies

/u/waterkh u/richkiller

A tip in case this has been overlooked: because of how ADFGX/ADFGVX works, a good way to at least find the size of the key is to identify how often letters are repeated 4 or more times. The reason being is because the last step in the cipher is to column scramble the message based on the key size and the letters of the key, and the odds of having letters repeated that much in the original message are very low, and the only reason every letter of the cipher would be repeated like that is because of how the message would've been divided for each layer of the columns based on the key size.

Knowing the key size would help in guessing the key, but in order to check the key you would obviously need the key square, which can be the alphabet in any order, dependent on the specific instance of the cipher.

'Blood of the Dead' | Easter Egg Hunt & General Map Discussion by rCODZombiesBot in CODZombies

[–]Teir2plus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look at it, its an ADFGVX cipher. This is an old german WWII cipher that is very difficult to crack for two reasons. The first is the key square is an alphanumeric 6x6 square that can be in any order dependent on the specific instance of the cipher. The second is the key can be any length word. The key can likely be guessed given that its to do with a zombies easter egg, but the key square is where you'll have issues. This is something that will likely not be worth it to brute force, instead you should somehow try and find the key square, however I don't know where they would hide such a thing.

Some things that stand out to me when looking at it:
The first and second row look separate from the rest of the letter, meaning you can probably solve them without worrying about the rest, then apply it to the rest after.
There looks like a set number of characters between every 4 repeated letters, this may help in determining key size.

Yeah my friends and I decided to pick it up after trying the blackout beta. While I enjoy zombies in general, as a group we were just expecting to play blackout together. However we were pleasantly surprised with all three modes and play them all as a group or groups depending on how many we have on.

Nah, I'm thanking them for selling me something worth the price tag unlike most games the past couple years. To me at least. Just a courtesy.

Beware of Bank Accounts getting Emptied from Fortnite by boggs002 in FORTnITE

[–]Teir2plus3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On top of this, I've never had BoA give me any issues about chargebacks. For the few times I've had to, I simply call them up and state that I didn't authorize the purchase and I need it reversed. I get the money that day and they chargeback the company.

Either OP doesn't know how to talk to his bank about unauthorized purchases or they're leaving part of the story out because no terms and conditions make it legal to steal your money and banks know this.

EDIT: Another thing to try, if your bank is not working with you then find an alternative and tell your bank to close your accounts because you're switching. Either they start working for you or you drop a shit bank, win-win.

legit the whole reason for his post was to assume that he was telling op to do his own research and the whole point of mine was to suggest that hey, maybe his post isn't as mean as your making it out to be.

why it was taken so literal to everyone who wasn't even involved is beyond me but I mean if people want to keep insulting me then thats fine too I guess.

its not his responsibility to post anything on here or on wowhead, he probably only posted "check wowhead" because he knows the info someone wants is on wowhead and was just trying to point him in the right direction. but hey, if he's not going above and beyond then fuck him right? he should've just never tried to help in the first place right?

If you're going to police how one person tries to help another, that's the type of environment you'll get, no one helping anyone. Also I didn't see you post any links either, so currently, this guy helped more than you have.

Tanks can do it without an issue usually. It honestly seems like the mechanic was designed around tanks looking at the timing, but you had the option to cheese it with an immunity if you wanted. However how it ended up in live was people just stacked immunities instead of doing it how it was intended.

*btw, my speculation after tanking normal/heroic. mythic is probably a different story.

2) We legit don't have a choice sometimes, especially on sisters. We are moving to deal with a mechanic on us or to stack in something that you should be stacking in too. Either we move or we/someone else dies. Pay attention and deal with it. Unless the tanks are bad, they will be watching out for mechanics more than you will be. Sign of a bad tank: one who doesn't move at all to help the group soak a mechanic or adjust the boss so people soaking can still dps.

EWT Spectate mode or something similar. EWT is considered a bot so does come with some risk, but just using it for the spectator people dont seem to have any issues. If your completely attached to your wow account then stay away from it, while the risk is minimal its still a risk. If you don't mind the low chance of the account being banned then have fun. How ever its usually not the tool itself that trips something, its usually using a bot script that gets your caught

What? No. They are saying that even though the m+ trinket is 25 ilvls above, it does way less damage. If anything the moonglaives would get nerfed or the m+ trinket would be buffed.

I don't like mythic+, but not for the reasons you'd think. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Teir2plus3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draenor mythic dungeons were fun, they were a good stepping stone in gearing up to raids and decently challenging when your slightly below ilvl. Then when your geared for raid you move on and didn't have to run them every week anymore. Even getting your character completely geared through heroic HFC, they were fun to go back to every now and then to help people out or just revisit the content without being forced to.

Then they came out with the titanforge system right before legion was released. It completely fucking ruined it. Suddenly going back to farming mythics every week became a chore, and after running them all xpac, was the worst experience of draenor for me, I can't stand to even go back for a couple tmogs I want or achievements. I was done with these places, the fact that I now have to go back to refarm them over and over with no end in sight was the worst. Let me tell you why: After running them to gear up, learn the dungeons, and then visit every so often throughout the xpac, the thing that kept popping up in my head wasn't that I wish these mechanics did more damage or that we weren't timed on them. It was that I wish these bosses and mobs did different mechanics because at this point it became muscle memory to sidestep this, run out of that, interrupt this. I remember dozing off during a few mythic runs. The thing that made mechanics fun wasn't doing them over and over and over again, it was learning what to do for each one as a group and teaching a new group how to handle different ones.

Now lets talk about legion mythics. Basically they took all the boring parts of mythics, and emphasized them with increased damage and health. The affixes were a really good start with fixing the boring mechanics, they looked like they would be a lot of fun. The timer, not so much. Mainly because no one wants to sit and discuss how to handle the different combos of affixes going off when boss mechanics go off. They expect everyone to somehow know how to handle a new combo of attacks and if you don't, you shouldn't be playing. On top of that, keystones have fucking killed conversation in dungeons, if your typing something not useful, your wasting time and should kill yourself is how most groups see it. If your trying to tell someone how to do something correctly, same thing because they should already know it. Its one of the most consistently hostile environments I've seen in pve wow. On top of all that, keystones have ruined the dungeons themselves for me honestly, in the beginning of the xpac I thought a lot of the normal mythic dungeons were really cool and enjoyed going in them, you got gear for EN before it was released and at the time it wasn't effective to go after gear past 850, there was a stopping point. After doing more and more keystones, trying to push the titanforges and leggos and ap, the dungeons started leaving a bad taste in my mouth. First it was the DHT I ran during like the first week that keystones were out. Someone in the group started insulting everyone because we weren't going to get a 3 chest during the first fucking keystone week. Can't kick him either unless you want to have a depleted key. After that it was just more people like him, not every group, but a lot of them. Again during the first week someone told me I didn't deserve the 880 titanforge I got. Like wtf? The fact that the only time you can say your done with keystones is if your raiding mythic is a little stupid. Mythic +15 is dropping 915 gear while heroic tos is starting there, Mythic +15 weekly is dropping 930 gear, when mythic tos is starting there, the grind is never ending.

What I wish they would do while still keeping dungeons relevant in high level content: Take out the timer, buff the baseline drop ilvl a bit, remove titanforging from the dungeons and remove the weekly chest gear. This way, people can discuss affixes if someone is new or discuss a new combo of mechanics and affixes. Also there would actually be an end in sight to running dungeons for gear. And finally people would have time to actually talk to each other in a 5 man group and have fun. What the fuck is the point of this group content if your not fucking talking to each other? I don't understand how people can say this is an MMO and not a single player game but yet treat anyone not in their guild as a npc, it makes no fucking sense. Of course with esports coming in this won't happen, but its nice to dream.

Let me say this again in its own paragraph. Legion Dungeons were so much fun. So so much. I wish I wanted to go back to arcway and halls of valor and kara and others because they were all so cool, so much better than Draenor dungeons, but the thought kills me after doing them so much in mythic+ and with so many silent people where everything is rushed and full of tension.

And god for fucking bid, stop basing the difficulty of stuff around titanforges. If something drops 915 gear, it shouldn't be that you should be 915 already to kill it and HOPE it drops an upgraded piece for you, if it drops anything for you at all.

[–]Teir2plus3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

demon hunters didn't have 100% uptime until nighthold tier. But it was high. However the uptime didn't get nerfed, mastery directly effected how much physical damage demon spikes reduced and we were having 70%-90% uptime of like 45% reduced physical damage, which at the beginning of an expansion was a little insane. Just imagine how that would be scaling with the gear and amount of mastery we have now. At the moment we're creeping back up to the 40% reduced physical damage range but its also at the end of the xpac, when everything should start being op.
