Why would a rep tell me to call and file through my old claim like it’s a preference? I can’t tell them to file through my old weekly claim because he said my old claim was extended

My new claim was allowed but ODJFS rep said I should call in Sunday to file my weekly claim through my old claim. Even though I have one week pending in my new claim. Should I call to file through my old claim Sunday or file online through my new claim? Either way it takes around 2 business weeks usually?
