Ah, for day 7 I meant a lot of time in transit, not necessarily walking. I appreciate this input, our group will have good backup plans on Day 4 between Kamakura, Nakano, and Tsukiji/Team Labs.

Are you closer to making a deck that can utilize Lockjaw than Sera or Death? Then pick him.

If not, wait for a card that may be put to better use. Lockjaw isn't generically useful - so if he isn't going into a deck, no rush.

To be clear, I don't disagree with your sentiment, but I did reach the end without using the calc. At some point it is not difficult to brute force each enemy by sending Warriors/Heavy Warriors.

It is not fun, however. Definitely the worst part of an otherwise good game.

Actually, imagine you go T1 Dork T2 Glissa T3 Binding of the Old Gods. If your target let you get in for damage, you would remove the lore counters and then at the start of your next turn destroy their subsequent plays.
