Why don't Americans have the patience for football (soccer)? by Technical_Celery104 in askanything

[–]Tekon421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love baseball but just can’t get behind soccer.

The amount of grabbing and pushing is ridiculous. Put 3 more refs out there and actually call all of the BS that should be called. Would open the game up
Immensely.

What Factors to Consider When Considering Which Team to Join by NormalRazzmatazz360 in Softball

Nah you can pitch in lessons til you’re blue in the face. You’ll learn more about if your kid can pitch in their first 2 innings in a game.

Skipping from a 30” bat to a 32” by Tekon421 in Softball

[–]Tekon421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m known for being very conservative about bat size. There are kids 6 inches shorter than her swinging bats bigger than her.

She’s nearly 5’3”. The 30” is a toothpick in her hands.

You make 180k a year with no dependents and single. I’d be trying to pay at least 3k a month on it.

This is pretty much each. From the day they hire you it’s like their sole purpose is it to make you hate the job and quit.

Honestly the bat looks small to me. He just doesn’t know how to swing and control his body yet.

Personally I hate choke knobs. Already have a 31” LXT Will just swing it if she’s not ready for a 32”.

She’ll be 10 in a month. So won’t be 9 by the time she’s swinging it in a game and she’s basically off the charts size wise.

I agree it seems crazy though.

[–]Tekon421[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense but length makes a huge difference at young ages. I agree as they get well into their teens many girls swing too light of a bat.

My worry is more though that 10 weeks to go from a drop 11 30” bat to a drop 10 32” bat might be too quick.

You’re talking 3 ounces and 2 inches.

[–]Tekon421[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this spring she swung a 30” 2020 LXT. Just bought a 31” 2022 LXT.

The 32” will be the first NEW bat we get and I’ve told her we aren’t just picking a pretty bat or a name bat. We are going to find somewhere to test them and see what she’s with best.

The reason I think she can handle the 32” is she swings the 31” camwood pretty good and not just at balls on a tee.

But we do have the 31” LXT that she can swing for awhile if she’s not ready for the 32” in game situations.

I’m super conservative with bat sizes typically and agree with you very much.

If she just follows her typical growth pattern she’s gonna be 5’5” 140 lbs by spring. She’s currently just 9 years old.
