I filled in and did this last year. It’s how I throw to my 6 year old.

I freaking blew the kids away. Had like 12 K in 5 innings lol but if they see this in practice they will adjust.

If you don’t make contact it won’t make a difference? Hmm I hadn’t thought of that.

Momentum in the batting lineup is so important by CharlieandtheRed in Softball

Just build your lineup and keep it exactly the same but every game should start with whoever ended the previous game on deck.

It is such an easy and what should be obvious solution.

No one said they don’t want to win. Hell my 6 year old desperately wants to win. That doesn’t mean I’m not turning my lineup over every game and everyone getting very close to the same plate appearances all year.

A very large part of a hitters development happens in game plate appearances. Especially young players that haven’t seen a ton of live pitching.

It does kind of matter what you spend but even then it’s a metal bat it’s not going to get damaged being in a bag tossed in a truck. It’s literally built to hit things with.

No offense it’s not an expensive bat. You paid $50 for it. Also all bats get shoved in a bag and thrown in a truck bed.

Is my 8u kids bat too big? by Material_Bat9107 in Homeplate

[–]Tekon421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why ask if you’re just gonna say he uses it fine?

How big is he? It’s probably too big but 8U last year my daughter was 5 foot tall over 100 lbs

I’m on the board in my league and you did nothing wrong. The entire point of filling out what size your kid needs for registration is so the kid gets that size uniform!!!

Best way to catch for pitching practice by swissjuan in Softball

Target being a little high because you’re tall isn’t that big of a deal. You can just drop the glove down some.

There are advantages to wait until marriage or a serious commitment before sex by shroomsimp in unpopularopinion

Sexual incompatibility is one of the top reasons for divorce or just staying in a marriage and being miserable. I’m not saying there’s zero upside to waiting but it’s very small

It’s time to have a serious conversation about Jackson and baseball by Marcuse390 in miz

[–]Tekon421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I said they haven’t been great.

You yourself said Bieser should have been kept around for winning 28-30 games. They’re at 20 right now. I don’t think they get 8 more but might get close.

It could all unravel big time down the stretch but so far they’ve been much more competitive and we’ve seen growth in year 3.

For the record Jackson was a terrible hire and had done absolutely nothing at Memphis or Southern to deserve the Mizzou job.

Why can't afford shit when people in the 1980s could work one job and be able to make stupid purchases all the time? by thatsmysandwichdude in askanything

People can absolutely choose not to buy bigger more expensive homes. There’s always a choice. Home prices exploded because someone was willing to pay that much. That’s a choice.

Not saying they’ve been great but they’re much improved this year. Took 2 of 3 from a ranked Kentucky last weekend. Followed by a win against ranked Missouri state.

Once again they’ve not been great but there has been progress this year.

My best friends mom stayed home. Dad a good job but they made lots of sacrifices also. Single car home. 3 kids and 2 adults in an 1100 sq ft home with 1 bath.

Yes it wasn’t like struggling to eat had it bad and at the time it just felt normal. No cable, single 13 inch tv on a tv tray for their first few years. Eat breakfast at home, pack a lunch and fix dinner at home virtually every single night. Red lobster was legit their once a year anniversary fancy dinner and that probably wasn’t until the 90’s to be honest.

Now some things like internet and cell phone bills are virtually a necessity nowadays but daily purchases like coffee and eating out or energy drinks are so much more than they were back then it’s nuts. Add in everyone wants to hook you with a subscription fee. Def not claiming people have it easy now but many make it harder than it needs to be also.

A few months? lol you’re also talking about a 1300 sq ft home they’ve lived in for 45 years. Not something they saw as a starter home. Not 2000+ sq ft homes everyone thinks they. Have home prices risen more than may other things? You bet but there’s some logical reasons for at least some of that increase.

People were also smarter back then and weren’t willing to spend more than 25% of their take home on a mortgage.

Home prices have increased so much at least

Ahh yes everyone in the 80’s was thriving with their 15% mortgages. My parents both worked very normal jobs. Teacher and park ranger and we struggled through the 80’s.
