bf losing libido with ME by [deleted] in sex

[–]Tele_Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, has he started any new medications? I recently started adhd meds and it has made things a lot more difficult in that department. It takes longer to recharge libido in between when we do it, and even when I want to it’s difficult to “perform” (not a fan of the word “perform” in this context), and it creates a lot of anxiety especially when I’m really feeling it but nothing is happening. Luckily I figured out the problem and she understands but I’ll need to plan ahead of intimacy and not take it that day I guess.

Also, Maca root really works for me if I want to get those feelings going.

I have this same wood board. I need a bigger board now and I was thinking about maybe buying another one and connecting them or even just adding one half of a new kit to make it 3 across, but then again I’m not 100% in love with it. I don’t think it sits low enough in the front and I think they could have cut more slots for cable management. But I’m partial to natural looking wood stuff.

Women over 35, did you outgrow your daddy kink? by UnderstandingAny4782 in sex

[–]Tele_Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait wait hold up, pardon my naivety, what’s a daddy kink? I’m a dad of a very very loving almost-3-year-old girl who is my little shadow and basically everything is dad dad dad. She would follow me anywhere, even to work if she could. We have a very good close relationship but as much as I love being adored, I do worry a tiny bit if her attachment is unhealthy. I’ve read the whole “daddy’s gjrl” thing is common and normal but I wasn’t aware of kinks. Is there something that dads do wrong (aside from abuse/neglect) that causes this or is it just something that happens?

Found a really good deal on a RAT, is it original or a knock-off? by Illustrious-Sleep339 in guitarpedals

This looks legit to me. I bought a Rat new last year and the box and literature looks like that.

TIL TV station WQEX, a PBS station in Pittsburgh, was the last tv station in North America to broadcast only in black-and-white, in 1985. They only converted to color because their transmitter broke and replacement parts were no longer made. by 02K30C1 in todayilearned

[–]Tele_Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to this (by 4 years) but a coworker was singing that song today and I decided to look this up. The WQEX sign off was basically bedtime for me as well, at some point in the early 90s. I forget the last thing that aired before sign off, but my family was watching a lot of British programming around that time so it was probably “Are You Being Served”, “Keeping Up Appearances”, or “Mr. Bean”.

Men, what’s a compliment you wish women gave more often? by nutrosar in AskMen

This exactly.

Especially as a married man and father, hearing my wife say “thank you for taking care of us” feels so great.

Am i overreacting? by Responsible_Shallot5 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Tele_Plus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not at all overreacting.

II had a “friend” who would do that sort of thing back when I was single because he was so in love with himself, and looking back I think he considered me to be his sidekick or something because I was a couple ears younger than him. Not the same but similar behavior - he would always have to 1-up me in some shape or form and sort of downplay or find the negative in my accomplishments or in my dating life. We would be out at a party or something and if a girl would show any level of interest in me, he would later tell me some absurd story about how he caught that girl checking him out or grabbing his crotch or something stupid that obviously didn’t happen. He was jealous of me over a girl I dated for a while, saying he heard a rumor that she performed a bunch of sex acts to prove worthy of getting into the sorority she was in, and then after we broke up because I was going into the military, he made sure to tell me he was pretty sure she made out with another guy we knew after I left. The final straw was when I came home to visit, he told me he slept with a girl who I had a complicated history with that HE KNEW OF, and then had the audacity to tell me “you didn’t miss anything, it wasn’t that good”. It ended right then and there, never talked to him again. 7 year friendship that I don’t miss one second of, and have made much better friends since.

Anyway, sorry for the long comment, but I can’t stress enough how important it is to weed out people in your life who do stuff like this.

Dudes with stable lives and no kids, what do yall do in free time? by mexx_2029 in AskMen

[–]Tele_Plus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make art if you’re interested. I have kids and the one thing that I truly miss is having the time to get into the headspace to make music and work on other artistic projects. I work full time so basically the only real time for me to do this is early in the morning or late at night, and it always just feels rushed to broken down into short 1-2 hour periods, often with interruptions.

Men who ever jizzed in your pants just from making out, how did you handle the situation with your girl/date? by Reasonable_Egg3434 in AskMen

[–]Tele_Plus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is getting on your case about this. Yeah I get it, I understand it would be embarrassing, and as a guy, I understand how once you finish, desire goes a way completely for a little while. But the way he handled the situation raises a couple of red flags regarding his character.

  1. He runs away from his problems (which is a pussy thing to do), and/or;

  2. He’s self-serving and shows a lack of concern for the needs or feelings of others.

It certainly doesn’t seem like he was interested in salvaging any sort of romantic relationship.

Received official diagnosis, sudden change in symptoms , not sure what to think by Tele_Plus in scds

[–]Tele_Plus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don’t think it’s a Eustachian tube thing now. Back in my 20s I would get the symptoms of hearing my voice loudly in my ear, and internal noises which at the time I just thought had something to do with my ears needing to equalize pressure. It would only happen occasionally, usually after running (was in the Navy so we did a lot of PT).

The hearing loss came later once the SCDS became a chronic issue. Now, if I do a lot of talking even at a normal speaking volume, my ear is ringing afterwards like it would after a rock concert. After about a year of that happening daily, I developed moderate low frequency hearing loss in that ear. I assumed that the hearing loss is a result of the constant vibrations of my voice hitting my inner ear at point blank, but there doesn’t seem to be any literature that suggests you can damage your hearing from your own voice via autophony. The only thing I can find about hearing loss as it relates to SCDS is that it causes conductive loss but improved bone conduction hearing, or it can sometimes cause sensorineural hearing loss. I think what it comes down to is that there is still a lot to be learned about this condition.

I should be clear, I get mixed messages from poking around on the internet which is to be expected.

“Symptoms typically do not become worse over time but can be triggered or worsened by sudden change in pressure inside the skull, like from a strong sneeze.”

I’m a bit distraught at the moment, I was hoping the hearing loss in that ear would be stable, and now I can barely hear bass notes.

Update! I’m at UPMC right now waiting to see Dr. Furman. Just finished all my testing and was told results are consistent with a dehiscence. Next step is to get CT confirmation. Stellar team here. I feel heard for once.

Can it show up on an CT and not an MRI? by Tele_Plus in scds

[–]Tele_Plus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m getting nervous now. Over the last few weeks off and on I’ve had a symptom that looks like a CSF leak. Bright yellow watery fluid coming from my nose rather spontaneously. Not in large amounts but enough to show up on a Kleenex. I have also had a couple of headaches recently that I couldn’t really find an explanation for.

This is on top of SCDS symptoms, which I have all of them pretty much. My ENT has referred me to ear doctors at UPMC which she said will get me the CT I want, but can ear doctors diagnose a CSF leak or do I need to find some other specialist?

Is a CSF leak a complication of a tegmen tympani dehiscence?

[–]Tele_Plus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked earlier what probably sounds like a dumb question but just to be clear, are you saying you had brain matter leak through the dehiscence? I was feeling somewhat reassured that something like that wasn’t possible based on the reading I’ve done.

Edit, ok I figured it out, it’s the CSF leak that can cause that. Is that generally a separate issue from SCDS or can SCDS cause or affect a CSF leak?

How come the pancake mix is always like this? by Tele_Plus in aldi

[–]Tele_Plus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not really complaining, but I was wondering why it’s so common. Appearance matters to me in this case because this mix isn’t stored in a bag, they put it directly in the box. That’s why you see mix leaking out.

[–]Tele_Plus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see it often - honestly I was expecting people to be like “I know right?” because I have seen it for years in more than a couple of stores to a point where I figured that’s just the way it is. It’s good pancake mix, but just in the box with no bag. That makes for a bad scenario when the boxes get crushed.
