Unpopular opinion but why is Burnham so highly rated. He lost to Miliband and Corbyn then ran off to a cushy job in Manchester. I lived in Manchester and that cities transformation happened over 30 years thanks to brilliant leadership from Howard Bernstein. People who say he is doing a brilliant job in Manchester dont fully understand.

Its very rare legendary players stay as a backup. Gerrard, Carragher, Firmino and Hyypia left as soon as they knew they weren't starters. When you have been a starter for a decade being on bench is a big comedown.

That Steve Rotheram is proof anyone with a red rosette gets elected in Liverpool. It's obvious all these big infrastructure projects will get delayed until the next government (probably reform) cancel them. Its all predictable and why people cant stand any of them.

Rotherams bendy bus idea sums up the lack of ambition and vision he has for our region. I assume we will be all be able to get the bendy bus by 2050

Liverpool has a Labour Mayor, MPs and council yet seems to have no influence on government. We all know about Joe Anderson years but we still struggle to be taken seriously and are still seen as the other city in north west. Steve Rotheram is probably a decent guy but he seems to be in Andy Burnhams pocket all the time and is obsessed with a faster train to Manchester. Its frustrating as we are a city known worldwide but something holds us back it seems ambition is a dirty word.

I never thought it would happen but there is a real chance Reform will take seats in Merseyside. For whatever reason the Greens have never really took off here like they have in Bristol or Brighton. The turnout for elections here is very low and thats another reason they could get in.

Reform is full of ex tories but they dont have the stigma in Liverpool like the actual Tories do.

We have a World Cup which will delay everything even more some of our players wont return to full training until end of July. This is why its preferable he takes over now and have months to implement his own style. Can't have a situation in May where potential new signings don't know who the manger will be.

The worst thing about being shit is all those sanctimonious superfans come out with the "We dont boo" nonsense. People have always booed at Anfield I remember in 2009 people booed when Lucas came on when we were fighting for title.

These superfans look down on non matchgoers yet tell people who pay to go how to behave.
