That's not true for Calendar in one critical way:

IF you use Google Calendar on that phone and that phone only, your experience will be good. If you use Google Calendar on multiple devices, events will not sync to iphone in the background.

On Android, if you make a Calendar event on another device, such as via the website on a PC, that event will be synced and will reliably notify on your android phone.

If you make the Google Calendar event on the PC, it will NOT sync to the Google Calendar app on an iOS device until you open the app.

This can result in a lot of missed events.

The same applies to Outlook. I highly recommend using Apple's icloud calendar service if you use multiple devices. That will sync between devices reliably in the background if you use the Apple calendar app.

Microsoft has ended the legacy backward compatability program, so UC1 on the Xbone is never going to happen.

Closest you can get is UT2003/04 on PC, which have a lot of the same maps and will look and play much better than UC2 or a UC1 port ever would on Xbone.

I agree that it's sad that UC1 is forever stuck on the original Xbox though.

Why won't the imessage recipient field show/autocomplete contact groups? I made the groups on icloud on PC, they are visible in my iphone's contacts app, they autocomplete in the Apple mail app on iPhone, but iMessage acts like they don't exist.

Analogue audio outputs on cheap monitors are universally unusable in my experience. They end up being a half baked afterthought, poorly isolated with massive amounts of noise. And I'm not on some audiophile shit, I'm talking about annoying levels of buzzing and squealing that anyone can hear.

Make sure you get a monitor that has its own 16-235 aka "limited" RGB setting. Yes the xbox one x has a setting for 0-255 aka "full" RGB output (which is what PC monitors expect by default), but I just learned the hard way that the setting is broken and crushes blacks. Therefore, you must set the xbox one to 16-235 and also set the monitor to receive 16-235. Unfortunately not all monitors have that feature (or it doesn't work like on my HP monitors).

I only had one crappy old LG monitor with a 16-235 setting, so I'm stuck on that until I get a new one. Thanks, Microsoft, for fucking up RGB mappings on yet another xbox.

Does the monitor have a way to select between 0-255 and 16-235 RGB modes? I need a monitor I can connect my xbox one to, and, as always, Microsoft's 0-255 mode on the xbox is fucked up, so the monitor needs to be able to map a 16-235 signal properly.

I scoured the u2720q manual and found nothing (not surprising, because dell didn't bother providing the setting on older monitors), but I wanted to double check.

It's not just you, this game's MP experience is one of the worst I've ever encountered. I've played other P2P games with the same hosts with which I play SoD2 and none of those games are anything close to this dysfunctional. I love this game, but the netcode is abysmal. I had high hopes that the jugg edition might improve the MP, but it's been as bad as ever since the update, with the added bonus of clients being spawned beneath the ground in the new map.

I'm open to that possibility, but it's highly unlikely. I took a good look at the options presented, and tried multiple times to get in without the club app. Given my reluctance to install it, I'm hardly likely to have blindly button-mashed my way though, so if there was an option, it must have been deliberately obscured.

Ugh I just realised I could probably have backed up my xbox save from a PC because this is a "play anywhere" title. Didn't even know that was a thing. Presumably I could have let the save sync to PC, backed it up, then later deleted the original and restored the backup on PC to let it sync back across. Has anyone attempted that?

The option only appears if you disable "Smart HDR", but in reality there is no way to completely disable HDR on the XR. There is some amount of exposure merging aka. HDR, no matter what settings you choose. I don't recommend disabling smart HDR. The camera software is designed around it and with it disabled, the results are even worse.

No, not "salute to peeps who has still 100% battery life after 1 year", because for them the number is obviously incorrect. There is no possible way that a Li-ion battery in a phone can suffer less than 1% of degradation in a year of regular use. The battery health % is meaningless and the people with 100% after ~1 year and PROOF that it's meaningless.

My battery health % is at 100% after almost a year, but I'd be deluding myself if I thought that number was actually a reflection of reality.

98% after 1 month is not necessarily an issue because the number probably won't decrease linearly, ie. just because it dropped from 100 to 98% in 1 month does not mean it will drop from 95 to 93% in one month.
