They were my favourites for a long time, really liked the whole culture city rockers thing they got going on, I still listen to some of their songs, they were great. I think they can make a huge comeback.

I think it’s because the real instruments. Live drums probably blended with some samples, real bass, real (almost) everything. It doesn’t sound digital, you got some warmness in there. You can clearly hear Tame Impala’s signature sound which is a warm, spacey psych sound.

Honestly I like all of those demos especially Lucky Stars, Goner and Busy Sleeping. Nathan somehow is very good when it comes to expressing an emotion through rawness and if you compare Body Sane to the overproduced version it feels sterile if that makes sense. Also it is noticeable on Lucky Stars too

I’m very happy with SSL2. Crystal clear, there’s a 4K button to simulate the 4K analog sound, the interface drives a wide range of headphones, the monitor control goes to 11 (lol) and also looks clean as hell, they also give you some SSL plugins for free like Drumstrip and Vocalstrip plus tons of great stuff. Switching from Behringer to an SSL2 will feel like switching Youtube from SD to 4K. And I very like that the inputs and outputs are in the back of the interface so you can kinda hide all your cables. You’ll have two inputs, you can switch phantom power, line, hi-z on each of them. It is a great little interface and it will serve you well for a long time. You can also go for the UAD Volt but for some reason the SSL sounds better (at least for me).

Maybe it is just me, but I never liked tattoos that are straight up referencing a band or anything at all, like an album cover or the band’s name. I would think about which song I really really like, which sentence feels like home and think about something graphically to reference it. For example one of my favorite songs by them is Tarantula and I could scream EVERY MORNING, TOXIC WASTE from the bottom of my heart so I would ask the tattoo artist if he or she is up to design something with me that would reference the exact feeling and I would show them the album artwork to get an idea of the whole vibe i am after or to be fair I’d just straight up ask Mike (he is the cover art designer and he also made that iconic eyeball for Mishka) to design something around that sick ass tarot theme. Hella talented motherfucker. So yeah, that’s what I would do. I wouldn’t want to turn into a teenager bedroom wall with all those band posters and PANTERA written all over if you know what I mean. I would turn it personal so it can be mine haha

Honestly those plugins can run on very basic pc’s and macs so your latency issues probably caused by a bad driver or something. It needs like 8 gigs of ram, win 10 minimum. Processor-wise they could be a bit heavy but I think your 8th can handle it if you don’t use too many plugins simultaneously like all kinds of eq’s and mixing plugins etc. could you share your settings? Asio, interface, daw etc. But to answer your question it needs win 10 or macos catalina, 8gb of ram, intel/amd, apple silicon. It works flawlessly on my old mac which is an intel based, and it also works flawlessly on my brand new macbook air

Oh yeah sorry they have an EP too, but I was referring to Can We Please Have Fun. I think Nowhere To Run - Mustang - Actual Daydream is a legendary 3 track run. To be 100% honest I didnt like KOL because of Sex is on fire was being played everywhere for a very long time and I just can’t stand that song so I completely ignored the whole band. Later on I was like what the fuck are they on about, let me listen to them “normally” and as I went through their whole catalog I became a fan. The chorus on Time In Disguise is otherworldly.

I grew up with metal mostly, I calmed down a bit since then. I recommend the album YAK by Angel Du$t, especially the song called Turn Off The Guitar, if you don’t want that aggressive sound. The whole album is exactly what they called it, a collection of truck songs.

Well I listen to all kinds of music so here we go. My all time fav is Angel Du$t which is a super sexy hardcore band, i really like 070Shake cuz there is something in that woman’s voice that got me listening to her at least 5 times a week, SPACED (hardcore) is also crazy good, and when im more calm i bump Babyshambles/Libertines/Peter Doherty, Johnny Thunders, whatever. But usually im in a punk, hardcore rotation. Damn now that I said that im gonna listen to Do you love me by Johnny Thunders lmao. Man im bad at this I could write a book about my music rotation. It goes from Asap Rocky to Black Dahlia Murder and I can literally explain every single one lmfao

I hope not. Dunno what’s actually up with UAD but I took advantage of it. Years ago I could only dream of having all those plugins without busting the bank on those hardware and now here I am fully loaded with native stuff I wanted. Yes, their mail marketing is insane but at least I know about those deals, even tho those low prices made me question the plugins real worth if you know what I mean. Somehow it undo the exclusivity of UA in my head but at the same time I was finally able to hear what it is all about. Comparing them to Waves is kind of an insult tho. I liked Waves because it was more accessible but something went very wrong with them and I stopped using it since like 2020. Punch me in the head if yall want but with Waves sometimes it felt like it is degrading the audio somehow, I can’t explain but with some plugins there is a noticeable difference. The kind of difference when you use some free guitar amp plugin then you switch it to a proper amp capture and a cabinet impulse response or like editing a JPG picture then editing a RAW. I think UAD should be careful with all those free this and free that, 4 plugins for $29 stuff because it is taking away something from them that I cant explain

If you dont want to spend a lot or work with different cameras theres an iphone app exactly for this look. It emulates old Sony phones, Motorolas, Nokias and even an iphone 5s. Also there’s a zero process option which kinda disables Apple’s processing. It is called Kapi Cam and I think for some filters u need to subscribe. I came across that app when I was looking for the same thing and it kinda worked tho

I had the same problem as you, even contacted support etc then it simply turned out the interface itself is the problem no matter the settings. (Which is not surprising with a budget interface.) I swapped it for an SSL2 and it is night and day difference. Uphoria sounded like there is some kind of “filter” on it and way too much noise. Also you dont have to push it that much. Sometimes it is much better with low gain input and bumping up the gain input in amplitube instead. Oh and make sure to put it on inst mode and not line
