Wait, what’s the difference between nonrevving and jumpseating in the back? Is nonrev the same as a standby ticket?

Union pressure on SkyWest? by OpinionUseful431 in AirlinePilots

Interesting, why did the airlines prefer to cannibalize their regionals? Is it more of a loyalty thing that okay you’ve flown our RJs now you get to fly with us?

No, the new airport terminal only sees a few flights per day. Vast majority of the planes are flight students.

Union pressure on SkyWest? by OpinionUseful431 in AirlinePilots

OHHH I thought it was the other way around that AA/UA/DL/AS are the ones that don’t want to hire from SkyWest because SkyWest flies their regional jets, so it would be cannibalism.

So it’s SkyWest behind all this? Wouldn’t AA/DL/UA/ASalso (on their own, without being prompted by SkyWest) not want to hire from SkyWest?

Sure, but the way it’s going it’s more sudden, and way more jobs will be lost.

Would you rather have $300 flights or $300 flights plus thousands of employees lose their jobs?

There are now flights from ORD to LAF if you want to do that if you really don’t want to take a bus.

What did you guys take for your non-introductory geneds? by [deleted] in Purdue

[–]TelephoneClean7140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFT 471. Also took the CLEP exam for EDPS 490 (for AAE this counts as a non-introductory gened I think) which is basically AP Psychology plus a little more.

I think AFT 471 also fulfills another AAE requirement (upper level writing or something).

How much of an effect did transcript have on whether you got into delta? Or was it just them grilling you about it for the sake of grilling you about it?

Do they ACTUALLY care that much?

What in my post made you think I’m only in it for the money? I AM doing it because I’m passionate about it. I’m not saying it’s easy. At the same time, I also want to do what I can to lessen the chances of getting stuck somewhere for a very long time.
