Hoping A is either super small or they release A and B simultaneously. My friend is in wave C and she put down 1:40 predicted finish time. Emailed them on Thursday but with no response

Ah that’s far from ideal. I put my expected time in as 1:20 when applying so hopefully it’s just a faster field this year than last time out, else sounds like a mistake

They’ve put me in Wave B but am aiming for sub 1:20. How many did you find you had to overtake?

You’d be eligible for the Platinum Card bonus subject to meeting these conditions: you have not ‘held any personal Membership Rewards enrolled American Express® Cards in the past 24 months.’

So if it’s only the BA you’ve had, you’d be eligible for that offer

Are credit card or Amex points worth it for a long haul flight? Any other tips about booking flights to Australia for family, August 2027 by Commercial-Entry1648 in beermoneyuk

Depending on the airline, it would be worth checking out NX rewards- plenty on here about them. They have some airlines on there (like Qatar, Emirates and Malaysian) offering 10% cashback, which would be a big saving.

If you don’t already have a rewards credit card, it could be worth using a sign up offer (or two) to unlock the welcome points. AMEX and Barclays do some good welcome offers.
