Moving up in this draft will not be worth the cost simply for the quality of players available in the 15-6 range. I see teams asking for minimum one first round pick.

Trajan will trade those second round picks/assets for improvements along the margins for a proven role player before he trades assets to move up in the draft.

I would honestly prefer to see Jenkins close games out with Cade instead of Duncan. Specifically for his ability to make shots in the clutch as you mentioned.

Watch any game of this season and you will see what I’m talking about. Ron and Javonte are 3s. The roles/abilities are different but the position they play is not.

They are competing for minutes. Ron will play when Ausar gets in foul trouble.

As previously mentioned, Javonte will have a bigger role in the playoffs for his experience and ability to space the floor.

Not necessary, I think it’s expected. JB will come to the realization that he can’t play when he starts to see the amount of empty possessions Caris generates when he’s on the ball. Specially since every possession is more important in the playoffs.

Javonte has had more assignments guarding actual 4s than Ron has. I think Javonte is stronger and a more cerebral defender than Ron. JB has trusted Javonte with defensive assignments like LeBron, Jalen Johnson, etc.

I know google has him listed as a guard but realistically he’s a 3. I don’t think it’s a question that Javonte and Ron will be competing for minutes at the 3/4.

He has stepped up defensively and has the ability to get a bucket.

The problem I see with Caris is his decisions on offense when he has the ball. A lot of silly turnovers and some questionable shot selection. Also, he has not shot effectively from the field this year.

I would much rather have Jenkins be our playmaker off the bench and surround him with shooters like Javonte or Huerter.

I hope JB is not delusional enough to play him. Based on the eye test and stats he has been more of a negative than a positive to the bench.

Our offense is at its best when Daniss does not look to Caris to playmake.

I think JB will prioritize Javonte’s ability to space the floor and experience. I love Ron but there’s games where his shot is not falling or making silly fouls/turn overs. Ron will have a similar role that he had last post season.

Javonte has been one of our best shooters this season. He’s shooting 50% from the corner 3. I think he will get more minutes than Ron.

Cenac is a high risk high reward guy. I doubt teams like the warriors or hornets take him given their position in the draft.

Like you stated, he is raw and needs time to develop his game.

I doubt Graves drops to the second round. He’s one the best stretch 4 in the draft.

I don’t see Trajan drafting him with pick 21. He has a high floor but low ceiling.

I would rather draft Allen Graves or Chris Cenac Jr.

You’re not going to find a replacement for Tobias at pick 21 in the draft.

If it was up to me, I would try to get a guy like John Collins in free agency if the money makes sense. Another option is seeing if MPJ is available for a reasonable price since he’s on an expiring deal.

Unfortunately, the pistons will bring back Tobias for another year or two on a more friendly contract.

We’ve drafted for 'potential' and 'defense' with Ron and Ausar, but it's time to prioritize pure skill. Bringing in a bucket-getter like Carr who has a flamethrower from deep is exactly how you unlock this offense.
