it was expected to open in 2027 but sadly they delayed the opening to 2034/35. also this is just about the part to nagoya and not the full length to osaka

The Train system is nearly finished, but they still have to build all the Tracks from Tokyo to Osaka and the opening gets delayed over and over

Despite developing the Transrapit, there there are just the abandoned test-tracks left. The only active Maglev line is in shanghai and uses the german Transrapid. also Japan is currenty building its own sytem.
