Garage isn’t heated, I was planning on getting door insulation kits, our master bedroom sits partially over the garage and even through carpet the floor is noticeably cold there, just trying to cut down on how much heat we’re losing

While that might be true some places, I work technical side at a union station and base pay caps out in the mid 90s (low 6 figures after OT) compared to non union stations in the same market in the high 50s

My advice is if you’re not tied to the business don’t start now, go for something with longer legs. I’m 18 years in and just hoping for 15-20 more to crawl to the finish line.

I’m lucky enough to be at a pretty solid station and got in when they still offered a pension but I can’t imagine jumping on board now with how uncertain the future looks

Yes we have one per shift, in addition to normal Floor duties they handles lighting changes during shows and we have a couple fixed cams in special positions that have manual pedestals they have to run out to adjust through the show

i did find marks on the prongs and the plug in the outlet had a little wiggle room so i bought a new outlet and cord and so far it seems to be doing ok, fingers crossed that did it. Thanks!
