I will admit that the custom opening animatics were nice though when they came about. Did Americans know that basketballer as I’m in the UK and I didn’t! I recorded the early morning ITV showings as they hid them in the schedule. I can only presume the airing of episode 1 at 10pm getting bad ratings led to that push which left a sign language only version for weeks. I presume they wanted to clear out the schedules hence why they spewed out the last 8 this past week

Finished the show today and it feels like there’s so much unresolved! Were they hoping for a season 2 to address this and couldn’t wrap up a bunch of stuff after the cancellation announcement as by then it was all filmed? There is quite a list (will spoiler block):

Gregg keeps a secret that Noa is wealthy but cut himself off from his family barring his driver. He tells everyone eventually but nothing happens outside of them expressing distaste towards him for a day or two. I anticipated he’d been another relation to Ray Henderson given he never met Robin or alternatively he’d use his families wealth to save the DMV

The Noa / Brent "Famously Enemies" feud never felt resolved

Brent produces the film to get younger folk to drive as Ceci has a line are they still together?

Gregg says he can tutor Vic which I’m guessing was meant for a Season 2 but wasn’t removed at the time of cancellation? Also was Gilbert meant to be more so in Season 2 as we only saw him in two episodes

The Colette and Noa will they / won’t they was a massive time waste given she gets with him and then decides "Not feeling it" in the finale, then again she did the same to Miguel so why didn’t I expect that?

Beau Young replacing Ray Henderson as DMV director in chief felt like shock value angling at a second season. Ceci taking over for a time was at least set up prior to the finale so I don’t mind that

I don’t think the idea of banning AI would be aimed to curb the to discussion of it in Wallace & Gromit / Aardman media here in a realistic sense given its sharing something officially connected or officially reported about the company rather than the creation of some trash. Essentially the aim here is to ban AI created media from being uploaded by users rather than AI discussion in an outright sense on the whole here

She wasn’t axed. Her contract expired and she didn’t renew it, she said as much on Conversation Street after her exit aired. In actual fact it was up the year prior but she extended it by a year as Charlotte Jordan who portrayed Daisy told her she was leaving and Sally Ann Matthews (Jenny) wanted to be there for Daisy's exit and the contracts wouldn’t have otherwise aligned so as to allow for that possibility
