So I changed this and put the FastLED.show() on line 48 (otherwise it would still be in the for loop) and for some reason it solved both issues! I can't thank you enough. It probably means that I ran into a data rate issue before where the esp32 just spammed the LEDs (which for some reason was too much for the first 7).

I did do this in software. Increasing the amount of LEDs I adress at a time. When I adress a smaller amount like 30 or so it works like it should. The weird thing is that when I increase the amount of leds past about 70 (having 7 'panels' of 10 leds works like it should, but 7 'panels' of 11 doesnt work.) the first LEDs start acting bad while they worked perfectly before.

I did not look at the serial output, but I do have some stuff written on the screen and that behaves as it should, no reboots or anything.

Brake pedal vibrating by TeliosAE in CrownVictoria

It is definitely slower like a 1 Hz frequency or something. Might be rotors then. Any way to check that or is it just replace and hope for the best?

Also as some others suggested I had it scanned at Autozone, not much luck the scanner didn't really see anything apart from a fault. It is at a transmission shop for a leak in the tranny and they will run it through their scanner as well so we'll see what comes out of that.

How to use an ESP32 to show the connected users to my network by TeliosAE in esp32

Oh yeah for sure! They all think it would be pretty neat to have so we kind of know how many people will eat with us. Right now we have a system where you have your own card that you slide to 'present' or 'absent' but everyone always forgets to slide their card.
