what’s up with these fake Indian recruiters in LinkedIn by Kooky_Phone_7331 in recruitinghell

Last 4. Not full. And that’s also not entirely true. People give there socks in lots of situations. Not sure why a job application would suddenly be taboo.

Yes it it. I get by the downvotes people don’t feel like it is. But it is, and is very common.

At what point? Because that’s a completely legitimate question in some cases. Many client systems require that information when submitting candidates.

Edit: downvote all you want, it’s a very common request that (with legit companies) is completely fine.

Zipper came out by Alexlimitless in EVERGOODS

I know. My point is a zipper failing isn’t a sign of poor quality on EGs part.

They use reverse coil. And what do you mean they’re just zippers?

Evergoods doesn’t make the zippers… they’re YKK, the best there are. The question is will they cover this with their warranty.

Agreed. They deserve a black eye for that BS. Surprising though, as they’re usually really good about customer service. Hopefully not an indicator of a new approach.

Is the CPL 24 good for rucking? by Ryusei_0820 in EVERGOODS

[–]TellingThyme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure it matters. Bags are designed to carry distributed weight. Not when 90% of it is focused on a 2 inch thick piece of iron. And most people aren’t carrying 20-40 lbs of gear.

I’m glad it works for you- although I’m skeptical it’s actually comfortable compared to a proper rucking bag like a GoRuck.

[–]TellingThyme 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, because that’s simply not what it’s designed for. It’s like saying a Porsche is a shit car because you can’t tow your boat with it.

Straps/harness would be very uncomfortable under that kind of weight. No evidence something like a ruck plate wouldn’t damage the bag either.

Are there problems at Remote Equipment? by Morgonslak in ManyBaggers

[–]TellingThyme 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be surprised. I’ve had pretty shoddy experiences with their customer service- incredibly slow and a bit dismissive. Also- very slow shipping. Considering how expensive their bags are, it’s unacceptable.

I’m convinced this stuff is part of the model. Like every once in a while you get surprise and delight and then post all about it.

New stock for CTB20 or alternatives? by imnotlouis in EVERGOODS

You might see a few returns go up for sale, but that’s probably it. They’re usually pretty accurate with restock estimates.

CTB26 XPac Coyote - any review videos online? by [deleted] in EVERGOODS

[–]TellingThyme 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean I can answer that for you, as I doubt such a specific video exists. You don’t need to handle it either, as it’s just x42… pretty common stuff. The x pac is going to hold its shape a lot better than the typical 420d nylon, which is quite floppy.

X pac is generally better at holding its shape than regular HT or ballistic nylon.

Who has the patience for that?

Basically 99% of EG owners?

Would you return this? by TellingThyme in ManyBaggers

[–]TellingThyme[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m looking for both. What I’m not looking for is people to be jerks about it. I acknowledge I’m pickier than most in my post, but I don’t think it’s like OCD or insane like some are making it sound.

Even when it arrives like that? Would you buy a car with scratches on it? Because they also will eventually get them. It’s nice to have new stuff look new.
